A cable with the following configuration must be used as a transmission cable:

Putting the printer into operation
1.) Connect the printer with the 9-pole socket of the Multicast compact (the 25-pole socket must only be used to connect the original printer or
the control element!)
2.) Switch on the printer for „online" mode
3.) Switch on the casting unit without pressing any key. Only in the case of initial recognition the message „Drucker erkannt (printer
recognized)" will be displayed briefly. If this message is not displayed, check the cable once more and make sure that the printer is „online".
4.) Switch off the casting unit and switch on again with the „PROG" key pressed down.
5.) Change the casting protocol to "extern (external)" in the „Grundeinstellungen vornehmen (perform basic settings)" mode. The
corresponding menu will only appear, if the printer has been recognized correctly (see chapter 3.7). Exit „Grundeinstellungen vornehmen
(perform basic settings)".
Now, with the printer being activated („online"), the message „Bitte warten, Ausdruck (please wait, print-out)" should be displayed briefly after each
casting process and a printout should be performed.

2.10 Use of the automatic gas-saving unit MC

The automatic gas-saving unit MC has especially been developed for the use with the Multicast
compact.
It features high operational safety, tremendous readiness for ignition and constantly
preselectable flame adjustment, economic consumption as well as comfortable handling. It is
available as an additional accessory and can be easily mounted to the Multicast compact.
Note!
Gas installations must only be performed by authorized specialists (gas fitter).

Basic settings

3.1

General information

In order to switch over to the „Grundeinstellungen vornehmen (perform basic settings)" mode first switch off the Multicast compact. Press the
„PROG" program key and hold it down while switching on the Multicast compact.
You are now in the „Grundeinstellungen vornehmen (perform basic settings)" mode. The display shows the language. The following basic settings
can be carried out:
