When the temperature, further fusion time and casting speed have been entered, the microprocessor will check the correct position of the centrifuge
arm. If the centrifuge arm is not in the contact position required for heating up, the display and an acoustic signal will request you to turn the
centrifuge arm to the contact position. The arm can be turned freely.
Immediately after the centrifuge arm has engaged in its position, the furnace is heated up to the preadjusted temperature. The current furnace
temperature is shown in the display.
Furnace, casting ring support as well as adjacent parts will heat up strongly during the heating process of the furnace. Do not touch
these parts after the unit has been started because of the risk of getting burned.
When heating up the unit for the first time, the furnace, centrifuge arm and housing insulation may produce bad smells.
Shortly before the preselected furnace temperature is reached, a short acoustic signal can be heard which indicates the readiness of the furnace.
Insert your graphite or ceramic crucible into the furnace now. The furnace flap remains closed during this process. Before you fill in the alloy, wait
until the crucible is completely warmed up (graphite crucible 5 min, ceramic crucible approx. 10 min).
Adjust the height of the casting ring support so that it is suitable for your casting ring. Adjusting is performed with the adjusting knob on the side of
the centrifuge arm.
After the alloy has melted, the casting unit is prepared for casting by pressing the „Gießen (cast)" key
display. The casting process can be started by closing the housing.
In order to avoid damage to the furnace and the centrifuge arm, casting must only be carried out if the casting ring has been inserted and
the counterweight is adjusted correctly. In addition to that, make sure that there are no objects in the casting chamber when the casting
process is started.
The „Gießen (cast)" key
activates the readiness for casting and simultaneously starts the clock for the further fusion time. The expired time is
indicated in the display. An acoustic signal will inform the user about the end of the preselected further fusion time. The acoustic signal can be
deactivated by pressing the „E" key.
Place the preheated casting ring on the casting ring support, open the flap of the melting furnace completely and slide the furnace with the adjusting
lever of the furnace to the casting ring so that the crucible base projects into the funnel of the casting ring. Any differences in height can be adjusted
by turning the height adjustment at the centrifuge arm. The adjustment lever of the furnace has been designed so that it can be easily operated with
casting ring tongs. Afterwards, move the crucible e.g. with the crucible tongs, entirely against the casting ring.
Before starting the casting process, furnace and crucible must be moved entirely against the casting ring. Otherwise the furnace, casting
ring and crucible might be damaged when the casting process is started.
After the end of the further fusion time, close the housing in order to start the casting process.
The further fusion time can be reset by pressing the „NEW" key. Casting can be started by closing the housing independent of the expiration of the
further fusion time.
The operating sequence to start the casting process can also be changed, i.e. first close the housing and then start casting by pressing the
„Gießen" (cast) key
. In this case casting is started immediately after pressing the „Gießen" (cast) key
End the casting process by pressing the "Gießen" (cast) key
lock of the housing opens automatically immediately after the centrifuge arm stops.
In case the casting process is not switched off manually, the unit will automatically stop after 5 minutes.

Use of the program selection keys
Settings of temperature, further fusion time and speed that are more frequently used can be programmed freely (see chapter 3.3) and can be
fetched with program selection keys.
Select a preset program by pressing the program key „PROG" followed by the program number (1-9). The display will briefly show the stored
program name. The furnace temperature, further fusion time and speed are automatically preselected.
The display shows the programmed speed which you can still change with the numerical block so that it is suitable for your casting object. Confirm
the program selected by pressing the „E" key.

Casting with the centrifuge arm for flame melting
With the accessory „centrifuge arm for flame melting" that is available separately the Multicast compact can be easily converted to melting with the
open flame.
If required, the centrifuge arm must be converted as described in chapter 2.2.
Switch on the unit and enter the temperature value „0" to adjust the unit to the „flame melting operation mode". During this operation mode the
temperature is not requested again until the unit is switched off. Conversion to „furnace melting operation mode" can be performed after exchanging
the centrifuge arm and switching on the unit again by entering a temperature higher than „0".
