i) Displaying Heat Index

The heat index describes the perceived temperature based on the air temperature and relative
humidity measured. In addition to the temperature, the humidity also affects the human
organism and thus our heat perception.
At a high humidity, a temperature of, e.g., +35 °C, is perceived to be "hotter" than at low
humidity.
The reason for this is that high temperatures and high humidity inhibit the heat regulation of
the human body by perspiration (e.g. in tropical areas). In contrast, high temperatures and low
humidity (e.g. in a desert) permit good heat regulation by sweating.
At an average humidity, the heat index therefore shows about the same temperature
as the display of the indoor or outdoor temperature.
At high temperature and high humidity, the heat index shows a higher value (e.g.:
Outdoor temperature 27 °C, humidity 70%, heat index approx. 29.5 °C; the human
body perceives the temperature as hotter than it actually is).
At high temperature and low humidity, the heat index shows a lower value.
Proceed as follows to display the heat index:
• Select the desired sensor with the buttons "<" (2) and ">" (4) first.
• Press the button "MODE" (3) repeatedly until "HEAT INDEX" is displayed at the lower left of
the display. The temperature value displayed now is the so-called heat index.

j) Displaying Time/Date/Alarm Time

• First, use the buttons "<" (2) and ">" (4) to select time display ("TIME" is displayed).
• Now press the button "MODE" (3) repeatedly until following information is displayed:
- Time (colon between hours and minutes flashes)
- Alarm time ("ALARM" is displayed)
- Date/month or month/date (depending on the settings in chapter 11. b)
- Year
- Weekday
