6. Mechanical Installation

In most vehicles the producers plan an installation cut-out for the car radio. The choice of the location depends on
safety aspects. Therefore we recommend that you actually install the radio in this place.
The CD tuner requires a DIN installation cut-out with the dimensions 182x53mm; these dimensions are standardized
and usually the vehicle manufacturers keep to them.
Should there be no cut-out, please ask your car dealer about the correct place of installation for your car radio.
Please select the place of installation carefully so that the CD tuner neither infl uences the
driver's activity nor distracts him from the traffi c.
Only use the supplied installation material to guarantee a safe installation.
Any changes in the vehicle that become necessary for the installation of the CD tuner or other
components, must be carried out in such a way that neither the traffi c security nor the stability
of the car are affected. For some vehicles, you may loss their operating permit, even when you
make slight modifi cation to the chassis.
Since the CD tuner creates heat during operation, the place of installation must be heat-
resistant.
Before you bore the fasting holes, make sure that you do not hit any electrical cables, brake
lines, the fuel tank etc.
When using tools for the installation of your car HiFi components, please observe the safety
instructions of the respective manufacturer.
When you install your HiFi system, please also consider the risk of injury that may be caused
by parts torn away in case of an accident.
Therefore you should securely fasten every part in a place where it cannot become dangerous
for the passengers of the car.
Before you install the system, check the depth of the installation recess.
A) Installation Position
The angle of installation to the horizontal must be under 20°. A CD tuner that is inclined too much, may cause
problems when playing CDs.

D) Mode CD
• Touches UP/DOWN (17)
Ces touches permettent la sélection des différents titres d'un CD et la recherche de sections déterminées dans un
titre d'un CD.
Appuyez brièvement sur ces touches pour passer au titre suivant ou précédent.
Maintenez les touches appuyées plus longuement afi n de chercher, à l'intérieur d'un titre, une section déterminée.
Dans ce cas, la lecture s'effectue de manière plus rapide.
• Fente CD (20)
Pour la lecture du disque, faites-le glisser ici dans le lecteur CD.
• Touche EJ (18)
Appuyez sur cette touche pour éjecter un CD mis en place.
• Touche PAU (5)
Appuyez sur cette touche pour interrompre brièvement la lecture du disque.
En réappuyant sur la touche, la lecture est reprise au point où celle-ci a été interrompue avant.
• Touche INT (6)
En appuyant sur cette touche, chacun des titres du disque est lu pendant 10 secondes. INT apparaît sur l'écran.
Réappuyez sur la touche INT (6) pour désactiver cette fonction. A partir d'ici, la lecture s'effectue à nouveau de
manière normale.
• Touche RPT (7)
Afi n de répéter le titre qui vient d'être lu, appuyez sur cette touche. RPT apparaît sur l'écran.
Réappuyez sur la touche RPT (7) pour désactiver cette fonction. A partir d'ici, la lecture s'effectue à nouveau de
manière normale.
• Touche RDM (8)
Appuyez sur cette touche pour activer la lecture aléatoire. Les titres sont lus dans un ordre aléatoire. RDM apparaît
sur l'écran.
Réappuyez sur la touche RDM (8) pour désactiver cette fonction. A partir d'ici, la lecture s'effectue à nouveau de
manière normale.
Les fl èches sur les touches indiquent le sens de recherche (vers le haut et vers le bas).
Veillez à toujours insérer le CD avec la face inscrite en haut.
