8. Operation
To select further functions, please press the SEL button (2) a little bit longer (>2 seconds) and then press this button
once more, but only very shortly, until the desired function appears on the display:
Choose the options for the respective settings by turning the VOLUME control (3).
TA SEEK/ALARM
TA SEEK: When the radio has lost the traffi c information, it will seek a new station with Traffi c Announcement
coding.
TA ALARM: When the radio cannot receive the TA code any more, there will be an alarm signal.
MASK DPI/ALL
MASK DPI: The radio switches to the best frequency of the selected chain of radio stations automatically,
only if the RDS signals are being sent there too.
MASK ALL: The radio switches to the best frequency of the selected chain of radio stations, even if no RDS
signals are being sent there.
RETUNE S/L
RETUNE S: When the radio does not receive traffi c announcements any more, the auto-scan starts 30
seconds later.
RETUNE L: When the radio does not receive traffi c announcements any more, the auto-scan starts 90
seconds later.
DSP
DSP OFF: The digital signal processor is switched off.
POP M: The sound characteristic is adapted to pop music.
ROCK M: The sound characteristic is adapted to rock music.
CLASS M: The sound characteristic is adapted to classical music.
FLAT M: DSP is active, but there is no sound adaptation.
LOUD ON/OFF
LOUD ON: The loudness correction is active.
LOUD OFF: The loudness correction is inactive. The sound is not infl uenced.
At low volumes the human ear does not perceive very low and very high sounds well. An increase of the
frequency range for low volume (loudness correction) counteracts this effect and the music playback
sounds more natural.

A) Mise en service générale
• Touche
A l'aide de cette touche, vous activez ou désactivez l'appareil.
• Ecran à cristaux liquides (19)
Affi chage sur l'écran (19) de toutes les informations en fonction de la source audio actuellement reproduite (radio,
lecteur de CD etc.).
• Touche RESET (24)
Cette touche remet tous les réglages aux réglages d'usine.
Actionnez cette touche dans les cas suivants :
- après avoir terminé l'installation et la connexion
- si l'appareil ne réagit plus aux commandes des touches
- si l'écran n'affi che que des caractères incompréhensibles
B) Réglages du menu
• Touche SEL (2) et bouton de réglage VOLUME (3)
En mode de fonctionnement normal, le volume est réglé à l'aide du bouton de réglage VOLUME (3). En appuyant
une ou plusieurs fois sur la touche SEL (2), vous pouvez modifi er les paramètres BAS (régulateur des graves),
TRE (régulateur des aiguës), BAL (réglage de la balance) et FAD (réglage du fader) en tournant le bouton de
réglage VOLUME (3).
Avant de mettre l'appareil en service, familiarisez-vous avec ses fonctions et avec ce mode
d'emploi.
Vérifi ez encore une fois si toutes les connexions ont été effectuées de manière correcte. Une
fois le test terminé, reconnectez le pôle négatif de la batterie de bord.
