8. Connection

Prior to connection, disconnect the mixing table and all other devices to be connected to the mixing table from the mains (pull the power
plugs).
For connection to the cinch outputs and inputs, only use suitably screened cinch cables. Only use a suitable microphone cable for
connecting the microphone input. Using other cables may lead to disruptions. In order to avoid distortions or maladjustment that
may lead damages to the device, you may only connect the audio outputs of playback devices with cinch level to the cinch inputs,
respectively only the cinch inputs of an audio device to the cinch outputs of the mixing table. Please also observe the connection
values listed in the "Technical Data".

8.1. Connecting the inputs

The following applies for all cinch inputs:
The white cinch jack of the mixer is the input for the left channel. The red cinch jack of the mixer is the input for the right channel.
LINE/PHONO inputs (5)
There are two LINE/PHONO inputs. You can connect your turntable, tuner, CD player, MP3 player etc. to these stereo cinch inputs.
Press the appropriate PHONO/LINE (6) slider to the left to the PHONO position if you are connecting a turntable to the input. Press the slider
to the LINE position for all other devices.
GND terminal (3)
If your turntable is equipped with its own earth line, connect this to the earth terminal. This helps to avoid buzzing interference.
Microphone socket (15)
A microphone can be plugged into this 6.3 mm jack. Only use microphones with an impedance of 600 Ohm.

8.2. Connecting the outputs

LINE outputs (8)
Connect one of your amplifier's available cinch inputs (e.g. AUX) to the "AMP" LINE input on the right. The "LINE" output is in stereo format.
The white cinch output jack of the mixer is connected with the left amplifier input.
The red output jack of the mixer is connected to the right amplifier input.
Headphone socket (9)
Connect a set of headphones with a 6.3 mm jack to the headphone socket. The headphones must have an impedance of at least 32 Ohm.
Otherwise there will be mismatches.
8.3. Connecting a cassette deck for recording the master signal
If you would like to record the master output signal from the mixing desk with a cassette deck, connect the recording input of the cassette deck
to the left "REC" LINE output (8).
8.4. Connecting the Power Supply
Ensure a correct protective ground connection. Do not use any extension cables without protective ground (mortal
danger). The mixing desk and all connected devices must be turned off. Power socket Plug the power plug of the mixing
desk into a common 100 - 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz power outlet.

9. Commissioning

1.
Check again that all connections are correct.
2.
Place the channel fader in the "0" position (pull all the way down).
3.
Switch on the playback sources such as turntables, CD players, cassette decks etc.
4.
Switch on the mixing desk with the on/off switch (1).
5.
Turn the volume control of the connected amplifier all the way down.
6.
Switch on the amplifier.
7.
Select the input on the amplifier on which the mixer is connected (e.g. AUX).
8.
Start playback on one of the devices (CD player, turntable etc.) or start the playback from the USB device or SD card.
9.
Use the input selector levels (22) to select the appropriate input.
