Assembly
T he assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a
specialist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations.
The maintenance, operation and commissioning of this product may only
be carried out by qualified personnel.
W hen selecting the location for installing your device, take care that it will
not be subjected to shaking, vibrations, dust, heat, cold and moisture. Fur-
thermore, keep the product away from strong transformers or motors.
T he light effect may only be operated in locations where the ambient tem-
perature is less than 40 °C.
T he device must be mounted out of normal reach.
I lluminated objects must be at least 0.5 m away from the device's light out-
let. Easily-flammable materials, such as decorative fabrics, must be at least
0.5 m from the device. Otherwise, such materials may catch fire!
D uring installation and service work, the area below the installation loca-
tion must be cordoned off.
T he installation surface, or mounting fixture, must be designed so that it
can withstand 10 times the loading capacity for at least 1 hour without per-
manent damaging deformation.
I t is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety
restraint, which is independent of the proper mounting supports, when the
device is installed in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part
of the installation should be able to fall down.
• Install the light effect device by means of a mounting bracket on the ceiling, the wall
or on a suitable crossbeam. When installing it, make sure that the device cannot
swing freely.
• Secure the device with fastenings that are compatible with the fastening surface
and suitable for carrying the weight of the light effect device.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. An
eye for a safety restraint cable is already attached on the device. The safety re-
straint cable or net must be capable of supporting the light effect device in the event
of a fault in the main support system.
• Set the desired angle of inclination and then tighten the bracket locking screws.
Mains connection
O nly an earthed mains socket of the public supply net may be used as the
source of electricity for the light effect device.
B e careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains
voltage can cause fatal electric shocks.
M ake sure that the voltage specification on the light effect device matches
the mains voltage of your power supplier. Never attempt to operate the de-
vice with any other voltage.
M ake sure that the connecting cable cannot be pinched or damaged by
sharp edges when making the connection.
T he mains socket to which the device is connected must be near the device
and easily accessible, so that the device can be quickly isolated from the
mains power supply in the event of any fault.
Plug the power plug into a wall outlet.

Operation

After connecting the power plug to the power grid, the device is ready for use.
• The POWER switch is used to switch the device on and off.
Position "ON" device is switched on
Position "OFF" device is switched off
• By means of the control Strobe Speed the speed of the effect is controlled.
• By means of the control Mic Sensitivity you can adjust the sensitivity of the sound-
to-light control to the volume of the music.
Adjust this control so that the light effect changes to the beat of the music.
Handling
• Never operate the device with damaged housing or missing covers.
• Do not plug the power plug into a mains socket immediately after the device was
taken from a cold to a warm environment. The condensation that forms might dam-
age the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it.
Wait until the condensation has evaporated.
• Never remove the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always unplug
from the mains socket by means of the gripping area provided for this purpose.
• Always disconnect the power plug from the mains socket, when the device is not in
use.
• For safety reasons always unplug the mains plug from the socket during a thunder-
storm.
• Do not cover the device in any way so that sufficient ventilation is ensured. In ad-
dition, the air circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines,
tablecloths, curtains or similar items.
Maintenance and Care
B efore cleaning the light effect device, disconnect it from the power supply
(unplug the plug!).
M ake sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry
brush.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions; this may damage the
surface of the case.
Fuse replacement
If you have to replace fuses, ensure that you only use fuses of the same type and rated
current (see "Technical data")
I t is improper to fix fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Carefully remove the cap of the fuse holder FUSE with the faulty fuse using an ap-
propriate screwdriver.
• Remove the faulty fuse and replace it with a fuse of the type specified.
• Now screw the fuse cap with the new fuse cautiously back into the FUSE holder on
the device.
• Only then may you reconnect the device to the mains and place it back into opera-
tion.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed
of in the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
