• Connect the input DMX IN to the output of the DMX controller.
• For this purpose, use a screened XLR cable. The controller must have 7 free control channels.
• Connect the DMX output DMX OUT to the DMX input DMX IN on the following device. If the light
effect is the last or only device in the DMX chain, insert a plug with a 120 Ohm/0.25 W terminat-
ing resistor here (between Pin2 and Pin3).
Pin assignment for the DMX connection: Pin1 = earth / Pin2 = (-) / Pin3 = (+)
Never connect the earth cable to the earth of the housing of the light effect because the
signal transmission can be disturbed by earth loops.
Operating Modes
Selecting the operating mode
The effect spotlight can be controlled via the built-in sound-to-light-control, the built-in controller
or an external DMX-controller.
The operating mode is set using the four buttons below the display.
• Press the MENU button to select the operating mode.
• Set the desired parameter using the UP/DOWN buttons.
• Save the setting by pressing the ENTER button.
• The following operating modes are available:
Display indication operating mode
A001-A511
DMX mode
A1_1-A1_9
automatic: red effect (1-9 = slow > fast)
A2_1-A2_9
automatic: green effect (1-9 = slow > fast)
A3_1-A3_9
automatic: blue effect (1-9 = slow > fast)
A4_1-A4_9
automatic: RGB colour change effect (1-9 = slow > fast)
A5_1-A5_9
automatic: colour change effect (1-9 = slow > fast)
A6_1-A6_9
automatic: colour change effect with fade (1-9 = slow > fast)
A7_1-A7_9
automatic: Strobe effect (1-9 = slow > fast)
S1_1-S120
Sound-to-light mode 1 (flashing effect)
S2_1-S220
Sound-to-light mode 2 (colour change effect)
In the sound-to-light mode no parameters have to be set. The individual steps of the
program (1-20) are shown in the display.
DMX mode
• Press the MENU button until Axxx is shown (xxx stands for the start address).
• Select the DMX start address using the buttons UP or DOWN and confirm the selection by
pressing ENTER. The values 001 to 511 can be set for the start address.
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called start address to be clearly iden-
tified by the controller. The start address determines the first DMX channel, and the
second DMX channel is the channel that follows the start address and so on.
The following overview presents the possibilities for controlling the individual DMX channels.

Master-slave operation
In the master-slave operating mode all devices in a chain (slave devices) are controlled by the
integrated controller of the first device (master device).
• Connect the DMX output DMX OUT of the master device to the DMX input DMX IN of the first
slave device. Then connect the DMX output DMX OUT of the first slave device to the DMX input
DMX IN of the second slave device. Proceed in the same way for all the slave devices.
• Plug an XLR jack with terminating resistor into the DMX output DMX OUT of the last slave device
(as described in chapter "Connection of a DMX controller").
• Set the automatic mode or the sound-to-light mode on the master device and select the desired
effect in this operating mode (see chapter "Selecting the operating mode").
• Set the DMX mode on the slave devices with the DMX address 001 (see chapter "Selecting the
operating mode").
Mains Connection
T he mains socket to which the light effect is connected must be in close vicinity to
the device and easily accessible, so the device can be quickly isolated from the mains
power supply in the event of a fault.
B e careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains voltage can
cause serious electric shocks, which can be fatal.
D o not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and professional way to
prevent accidents.
B efore plugging in the mains plug make sure the voltage indicated on the light effect
is compatible with the mains voltage available. Do not connect the device if the data
doesn't agree with the available mains voltage. The wrong supply voltage may lead to
irreparable damages to the device and involve risks for the user.
• Plug the mains plug of the power supply cable into a wall socket.
• As soon as the effect spotlight is connected to the power supply network, it starts operation.

Maintenance

Regularly check the technical safety of the effect spotlight, for example, for damage to the mains
cable or the housing.
If a safe operation can no longer be assumed, the device must be put out of operation and secured
against unintended operation. Pull the power plug out of the socket!
Cleaning
The outside of the light effect should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface
of the housing.
Fuse replacement
If it becomes necessary to replace a fuse, make sure that only fuses of the prescribed type and
nominal current are used (see "Technical Data").
You must not carry out your own repairs to fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Use a suitable screwdriver to carefully turn and remove the FUSE holder next to the mains con-
nector.
• Remove the faulty fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Carefully turn the fuse holder with the new fuse back into its holder on the device.
• Only then may you reconnect the device to the mains and place it back into operation.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
