9. CLEaNINg aNd maINtENaNCE

a) general

Apart from occasional cleaning and changing of batteries the device does not need any maintenance .
Instructions on replacing the batteries are included below.
regularly check the technical safety of the device e.g. for damage to the housing or squashing
etc.

b) Cleaning

Read and observe the following safety instructions before cleaning the device:
Live parts can be exposed when opening covers or removing parts except when this is possible
by hand.
the inserted batteries must be removed before cleaning to avoid an accidental activation.
Do not use any abrasive cleaners, benzine, alcohol or the like for cleaning. Such substances may corrode the me-
ter's surface. Moreover, the fumes are harmful and explosive. Do not use sharp-edged screwdrivers, metal brushes
or similar for cleaning.
Use a clean, lint-free, anti-static and slightly damp cloth to clean the product. Let the meter dry completely before
further use.
