9. Operation

A) LCD contrast setting

The LCD contrast can be set to 7 different levels to suit the users needs. To set the desired contrast
level:
1.
Press the "SET" button (1) for 3 seconds. The right display in the middle display area starts
to flash.
.
Press the "SET" button (1) again to enter the "contrast setting". The display will show "LCD"
and the current contrast level flashes.
3.
Press the "+" button () () to select the level of contrast desired.
4.
Press twice the "SET" button (1) to confirm.

B) Alarm setting

Set the alarm as follows:
1.
Press and hold the "ALARM" button (3) for about 3 seconds until "ALARM" is indicated in the
display and the hour display flashes.

Set the hour using the "+" button ().
3.
Press the "ALARM" button (3) again until the minute display flashes. Set the minute using the
"+" button ().
4.
Press the "ALARM" button (3) one more time to confirm the setting.
5.
To activate or deactivate the alarm function, press the "ALARM" button (3) once. The display of
the alarm symbol indicates that the alarm is activated, i.e., is switched ON.
6.
If no alarm signal sounds, by pressing the "SNOOZE" button (9) for about 3 seconds you can
set the alarm time.

C) Snooze setting

The snooze time can be set OFF or to a maximum time of 30 minutes (default is 5 minutes):
1.
Press the "SET" button (1) for 3 seconds. The right display in the middle display area starts to
flash ("Sno" is displayed.)

Set the desired duration between  and 30 minutes with the "+" button ().
3.
Press the "SET" button (1) until the normal display can be seen.

D) Activating snooze function and stopping the alarm

1.
When the alarm is sounding, press the "SNOOZE" button (9) to activate the snooze function.
The alarm will stop and reactivate after the time interval of the snooze time preset by user.

To stop the alarm completely, press any buttons other than the "SNOOZE" button (9).

E) Weather forecast and weather trend display

Since the weather can change during the course of the day, the station offers a separate weather
forecast for four periods of the day:
-
Morning (6 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
-
Afternoon (1 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
-
Evening (6 p.m. - 1 a.m.)
-
Night (1 a.m. – 6 a.m. of the following day)
In the normal mode, the station always shows the weather of the next period of the day
automatically. That is, mornings from 6 to 1 the afternoon weather is forecast, afternoons the
weather for the coming evening, etc.
1.
To see the forecast values for all periods of the day automatically in rotation, press the "MODE"
button (8) until "ROLL" appears in the display.
.
The display of the period of the day now changes every 5 seconds.
3.
Press the "MODE" button (8) again to return to the normal display mode ("NORM" is shown
in the display).
4.
Press the "SNOOZE" button (9) repeatedly to manually switch between the times of day, if
no alarm signal sounds at this time and the "ROLL" mode is not activated ("STEP" must be
shown in the display).
5.
The selected period of the day then remains for about 15 seconds before switching back into
normal mode.
The weather of the coming three days always refers to the respective time of day.

F) Display of reception quality

The signal strength symbol is under the date display in the middle area of the display. It indicates
the strength of the signal at the place of installation.
Weak reception
Good reception
With weak reception, there can be transmission problems. In this case, you should change the
place of installation.
By briefly pressing the "SET" button (1), you can update the signal strength at any time.
Optimal reception
