8. Initial operation

• Remove the wall mount from the outdoor sensor carefully.
• There are two small sliders on the bottom of the outdoor sensor that retain it in the
transparent protective cap. Move these sliders inwards, e.g. with a paper clip, then remove
the outdoor sensor from the protective cap.
• Take off the outdoor sensor's battery compartment cover by sliding it downwards.
• Insert two batteries of type AA with correct polarity into the outdoor sensor (observe
positive/+ and negative/-).
The LED on the front of the outdoor sensor blinks slowly. If you use more than one outdoor
sensor, you can now set the desired transmission channel (1 to 5) with the button "CH" (basic
setting after inserting the batteries: transmission channel 1).
Now the radio protection clock can detect at most 3 outdoor sensors. Therefore,
only the transmission channels 1, 2 or 3 may be set on the outdoor sensor.
Each outdoor sensor must be registered on a different transmission channel!
In dependence of the transmission channel, the LED blinks either 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 times. After
approx. 10 seconds, the clock leaves the setup mode for the transmission channel and the
current channel is saved.
With the indented "RESET" button (use a toothpick or similar), you can restart the outdoor
sensor to change the transmission channel. Alternatively, simply remove the battery for a
few seconds.
Do not place the outdoor sensor close to the radio projection clock and keep
a distance of at least 1 m. Otherwise you may experience interference.
Observe a sufficient distance to electronic devices, metal surfaces, cables, etc.
• Replace the battery compartment cover of the outdoor sensor, slide the outdoor sensor into
the protective cap and lock it again with the two small sliders on the bottom of the outdoor
sensor.
• Remove the lid of the battery compartment on the underside of the radio projection clock.
• Insert four batteries of type AA/Mignon with the correct polarity into the radio projection clock
(observe positive/+ and negative/-).
Now the radio projection clock starts to search for the outdoor sensors for 2 minutes and the
radio symbol blinks on the bottom right next to the sensor number.
