Intended Use
The product is a portable player for multimedia files (e.g. formats like MP3, WMA). A coulour LC-Display
is integrated in the device; the audio playback is being put out via a 2.5mm stereo jack plug.
Via an integrated microphone voice recordings are possible.
Date can be saved to the integrated memory (1GByte) by connecting a PC via the USB2.0 connection.
The current supply is ensured by an integrated LiPo-accumulator recharged with an external power adaptor
(provided).
The product must not get damp or wet.
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. The product contains fragile or
swallowable glass parts, bits and pieces, and further an accumulator.

Safety instructions
The warranty will be void for damages arising from non-compliance with these operating
instructions!
Liability for any and all consequential damage is excluded!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper
use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty is voided in these cas-
es.
• Any unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and
Q.C. reasons (CE). Never dismantle the product!
• The design of the AC adaptor complies with protection class II. As a voltage source only a
proper power socket (230V~, 50Hz) of the public power supply system may be used.
• This product is not a toy, and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children do not real-
ize the danger arising from incorrect use of electrical devices. Be especially careful if children
are around.
• The product must not get damp or wet.
• Never expose the product to extreme temperatures (<0°C or >+50°C), direct intense sunlight,
dust/dirt, strong vibrations or other mechanical stresses.
• If the power adaptor is being brought from a cold into a warm room, water condensation can
form inside. Let the power adaptor therefore acclimatise to the room temperature before using
it; otherwise there is the danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. It may become dangerous playing material for
children.
• Handle the product with care. It can be damaged through impact, blows, or accidental drops,
even from a low height.
Notes on the accumulator!
In the watch there is built-in a so-called „LiPo"-accumulator (Lithium-Polymer). This modern type of recharge-
able battery does not have the so-called "memory effect", i.e., the rechargeable battery can be charged when-
ever you want.
Furthermore, it presents a higher energy content than conventional NiCd and NiMH rechargeable batteries.
Please observe the following notes regarding the handling of the LiPo accumulator:
• Never damage the accumulator; never demount it. Damaging the wrapping of the accumulator might cause
an explosion or a fire! The wrapping of the LiPo rechargeable battery does not consist, like conventional bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries (e.g. AA or AAA type) of a thin sheet, but consists of a sensitive plastic film
only.
• Never short circuit the contacts/connections of the rechargeable battery. There is a danger of fire and
explosion!
• Recharge the accumulator on a regular basis, even if the product is not used. The watch always needs a
(although small) amount of „current".
No initial discharge is required due to the selected accumulator technology. Simply recharge the recharge-
able battery completely, approximately once a month. In this way the device is always ready for use.
Depending on the frequency of use of the product a daily charging process can probably be necessary.
• Never leave the recharging product unattended.
• Place the watch for recharging on a heat-resistant non-flammable surface. A slight warming during the
charging process is normal.
• Seperate the watch from the PC if it is not needed.
Charging
• At first recharge the watch. Use the provided power adaptor; the charging takes about 1 hour depending on
the state of the accumulator.
Connect the watch with the provided USB cable to the corresponding connector on the power adaptor; plug-
Version 05/08
in the power adaptor to a mains socket (230V~/50Hz).
°
Connecting Earplugs
• On the left side of the watch there is a 2.5mm jack plug connector suitable for the provided earplugs.
• Via an adaptor (not provided) conventional earphones with a 3.5mm jack plug can also be used.
Data transmission
• The memory of the watch is empty on delivery; You have to transfer respective data with your computer to
the watch.
For this, connect the watch with the USB cable to a free USB port of your computer. For Windows
ME/XP/Vista no drivers are required since they are integrated in the OS. The memory of the watch will be
indicated as new drive like conventional removable media (e.g. USB sticks). The data transmission is con-
ducted at USB1.1-speed.
For Windows 98/SE you will find the drivers on the provided CD.
• The folder structure within the watch memory helps to sort the individual multimedia files. Do not delete it;
otherwise the data will probably be not recognised correctly and might not being played (folder „music" =
MP3/WMA files; „voice" = recordings; „video" = video files; „photo" = JPG images; „text" = text files).
• No conventional video files can be played with the watch, since this would take too much computational
power. Therefore you will find respective software on the CD that able to convert many kinds of video files
into a space-saving format.
Since there are many different video formats it can unfortunately not be guranteed that the software can
recognise and convert every video format.
• There is an innumerable amount of programmes that can create MP3 or WMA files. Therefore it is prossi-
ble that some MP3/WMA files cannot be played with the watch. If you have created the MP3/WMA file by
yourself, please use other software for generating MP3/WMA filed for testing reasons.
