• For optimum results, we recommend that you wash and wring out the fl oor cloth
occasionally, (see "Cleaning and Storage").
• Treat stubborn dirt with a suitable cleaning material before you use the steam mop.

Filling the water reservoir

1. When the operating steam mop stops producing steam, set the appliance into upright
position. The appliance engages into upright position.
2. Once no further steam is emerging from the cleaner base, switch the on/off switch to off
(position 0) and remove the plug from the mains socket.
3. Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
4. Top up the water reservoir with more water as described in the section entitled "Putting into
operation", steps 2-5.

Cleaning and Storage

❐ Before cleaning the appliance always remove the plug from the
mains socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
❐ Never immerse the appliance, the mains cable or the plug in water
and do not rinse it under running water.
❐ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents (such as vin-
egar) These can cause damage to the appliance.
• Before cleaning the appliance remove the plug from the mains socket and allow the appliance
to cool down.
• Empty the water reservoir after every use.
• Rinse out the water reservoir occasionally by fi lling it with distilled water, closing the reser-
voir, swilling the water around and then emptying it out again.
• When necessary wipe the appliance with a damp cloth and, if appropriate, a little mild clean-
ing agent.
• You can wash the fl oor cloths at up to 60° in the washing machine.
• To store the appliance, loosely wind the mains cable around the cable holder (2 and 11).
• Put the appliance back into its storage position only once it has completely cooled and it has
been emptied of water.
• Keep the steam mop in a cool, dry place. Do not place it a position where can be affected by
extreme sunlight, or by weather conditions such as rain, frost etc.
• Before you use the steam mop again, always check for residual water, and completely empty
the reservoir if necessary.
