Failure safety (FAIL, FAIL SAFE)

The transmitter offers to give each of the 6 models a „Fail Safe" programming. It is only
applicable to a PCM receiver and the modulation method „PCM 1" or „PCM 2".
If you want to send „PPM/FM" or „PPM/FM Invers", „FAIL SAFE" cannot be activated.
Some receivers have the possibility to be programmed that they react to a radio signal
interference, and keep the last received signal. If the interference takes longer than a
second, the micro processor sets the servos in the receiver to the „Fail Safe"-Positions.
To program a „Fail Safe" , the modulation must set the according receivers first to „PCM
1" or „PCM 2".
When, for example, a position is set for the elevator, it takes when an interference of a
receiver signal is noticed, select the channel display „EL".
Press the „FUNCTION- "-button, to get to the FAIL menu.
Bring the elevator joystick e.g. in a very light pulled position, that should be the position
for the signal failure. Now press the „INC+/YES" button to fix the position of the elevator
servo when the signal fails.
To test the pre-programmed „Fail Safe"-Function, bring the elevator joystick into center
position and switch off the transmitter. The elevator servo moves in the direction of the
pre-programmed „Fail Safe"-Position.
To return to the INH" (locked) position, press the „INC+/YES" button and the „DEC-/NO"-
button at the same time.
As described above, every control channel can be programmed to „Fail Safe". If in the
case of „Fail Safe" the throttle should take a low value, first select the throttle channel
in the channel. Then you proceed to the „TH Fail Safe"-Display.
Hold the throttle joystick in the desired position and with the button „INC+/YES" hold the
throttle for the Fail Safe"-in the program. Test all the settings by switching off the trans-
mitter.
Please note:
IIf a failure occurs, when „Fail Safe" is not activated in the „PCM"-Modulation,
the receiver will show the last correct received signal, until the signal stabilises.
