5.1.2. Kühlung / Cooling
Motoren DSB/D 3-... sind durchzugsbelüftet. Das
Fremdluftaggregat ist auf der N(BS)- Seite des Motors
angebaut.
Luftrichtung: von N(BS) zur D(AS)- Seite blasend.
Motoren DSV/C 3-... sind mit Hilfe eines Fremdlüfters
oberflächengekühlt. Dieser Fremdlüfter ist ebenfalls auf
der N(BS)- Seite des Motors angebaut.
Luftrichtung: von der D(AS)- zur N(BS)- Seite sau-
gend.
Die andere Luftrichtung ist auf Wunsch erhältlich.
Dabei ist u.U. eine Leistungsreduzierung erforderlich.
Fremdlüfter sind auch im Leerlauf des Motors anzu-
schließen und zu betreiben, da anderenfalls der Motor
thermisch zerstört werden kann.

Werden fremdbelüftete Motoren (DSB 3 / DSV 3) nur
am Flansch befestigt, sind die Fußbefestigungslöcher
auf der N-Seite des Motors unbedingt zu verschließen,
da es sonst zu einem unerwünschten Kühlluftabfluss
kommt!

The motors DSB/D 3-... are open-circuit air-cooled. A
separately driven fan is installed at the NDE of the
motor.
Direction of air flow: from the NDE toward the DE
blowing.
Motors DSV/C 3-... are surface-cooled by a fixed speed
fan. This fan is also installed at the NDE of the motor.
Direction of air flow: from the DE toward the NDE,
suction.
The other direction is available on request, however, it
may require a de-rating to be applied.
The fixed speed fan must always be connected and
operated when the motor is running at no load, other-
wise the motor could be damaged through overheating.

flange-mounted, seal the motor foot holes at the NDE
as otherwise the cooling air will escape through these
holes!
