Switching on:
1. Slide the on / off switch

Always ensure smooth movement of the

beginning a cut. It must not jam and the
spring assistance must be able to push back
the product through the base plate

Cutting

Q
Avoid damaging the cutting edge of sensitive
o
materials, e.g. coated chip boards or doors,
by sticking masking tape along the cutting
line. Another benefit of this is that it is easier
to mark a line on the tape than on a shiny
surface. An even more effective method of
protecting the cutting edges is to clamp a
thin piece of wood along the cutting line (this
wood is also sawn).
Saw in the direction of the wood grain
o
whenever possible to avoid jamming the saw
blade and fraying edges.
Take the cutting edge into consideration when
o
cutting along marked cutting lines. Do not cut
directly on the line but next to it.
Ensure the workpiece is free of obstacles like
o
nails or screws before operation. Remove
them if required.
Ensure that there is sufficient clearance for the
o
saw blade under the workpiece.
Never hold the workpiece with your hands or
o
across your leg. Secure the workpiece with
proper clamps to a stable worktop. Support
longer workpieces to avoid tilting.
Hold the product firmly with both hands.
o
Never try to operate the product with only
one hand! Keep your hands away from under
the workpiece.

Only apply as much pressure as necessary

to keep the product flat on the workpiece.
Higher pressure will not increase but lower
the performance of the product and leads to
uneven results.
1. Place the product with the base plate

2. Align it as required by the desired cut through
the viewing window for the cutting
line 13 , the projected laser line or the rip
fence (see "Cutting with rip fence").

3. Switch the product on (see "Switching on and
off").
4. Release the plunge lock (see "Releasing the
plunge lock").
5. Plunge the saw blade slow and steady
into the material by tilting the product with
moderate pressure forward.
NOTE
The viewing window for the cutting

line allows spotting a marking line on the

workpiece. Align the marking line with the
triangular ends of the viewing
window . Likewise the projected laser line

is collinear and extends past the base plate
.

Cutting with rip fence

The rip fence enables exact cuts along a

workpiece edge and cutting strips of the same
width.
1. Loosen the rip fence locking screw

After use

1. Switch the product off, disconnect it from the
mains and let it cool down.
