Auf der CO
(in folgendem auch als Kalkpatro-
ne bezeichnet) befindet sich eine
Kurz-Checkliste (30) zum Vorbe-
reiten des Gerätes zum Tauchen.
Bei Geräten der neueren Gene-
ration befindet sich diese Check-
liste auf der Außenseite der
Klappe(n), die das Geräteinnere
verdeckt. Diese soll Ihnen beim
Vorbereiten des Gerätes am
Tauchplatz helfen, keine der wich-
tigen Prüfungen vor dem Tauch-
gang zu vergessen.
Das Frischgas wird in einer Druck-
gasflasche (2) mit 200 bar Nenn-
fülldruck bevorratet, die mit einem
Spanngurt (3) an der Geräteun-
terseite befestigt ist. Der Fülldruck
wird im Gerätedruckminderer auf
einen mittleren Druck von ca. 16,5
bar entspannt. Vom Druckminde-
rer führt eine Hochdruckleitung
zum Manometer (27), an welchem
man den Flaschendruck bei ge-
öffneter Druckflasche ablesen
kann. Vom Druckminderer führen
zwei Mitteldruckschläuche zum
Gehäuse des Bypassventiles (26).
Ein Schlauch (28) versorgt das
lungenautomatische Bypassventil,
während der Schlauch (29), zu
erkennen an seinen beiden Win-
kelabgängen, die Frischgasdosie-
rung im Bypassgehäuse versorgt.
Das lungenautomatische By-
passventil spricht an und liefert
zusätzliches Frischgas in den
Atemkreislauf, wenn die Atembeu-
tel bei der Einatmung so stark zu-
sammenfallen, daß zu wenig Gas
zur Einatmung zur Verfügung
steht.
In der Dosiereinrichtung wird das
Frischgas dosiert, fließt weiter in
das Gehäuse des Bypaßventils
und somit in die Einatemseite des
Atemkreislaufes.

of the new generation you will find
this checklist on the outside of the
flap(s) which cover the breathing
bags. While not a substitute for
training, it is an aid to remind you
of all the important steps that must
be followed prior to diving the
Dolphin.
The nitrox supply for the Dolphin
is a steel cylinder of 3,000 psi/
200 bar
attached to the under-
side of the unit (3). The tank pres-
sure is reduced to an intermedia-
te pressure of approx. 240 psi/
16,5 bar by the first stage reduc-
tion valve in the Dolphin's regula-
tor. As with any scuba outfit, the
Dolphin has a submersible pres-
sure gauge (27) running from the
first stage of its regulator which
indicates gas supply left in the cy-
linder (2).

There are two separate second
stage pressure hoses from the
regulator's first stage. One of the
second stage hoses (28) serves
the bypass valve, while the other
hose (29) regulates the fresh gas
flow to the bypass housing and so
the fresh gas is supplied to the in-
halation side of the breathing cy-
cle. This bypass housing hose can
be identified by its removable snap
fittings. The valve in the breathing
bag is sensitive to air pressure
within the bag, and provides ad-
ditional gas when the gas flow is
restricted.
The entire Dolphin is carried on
the back, and is fastened by two
shoulder straps (10) with one
strap around the midsection (11).
