Das Dräger Mischgas-Kreislauf-
gerät Modell Dolphin ist ein Tauch-
gerät, welches mit Mischgasen,
bestehend aus Sauerstoff und
Stickstoff, verwendet wird. Das
Gerät kann mit voreingestellten
Dosiereinsätzen für die Gemische
60 % O / 40 % N
2
50 % O / 50 % N
2
40 % O / 60 % N
2
32 % O / 68 % N
2
ausgerüstet werden. Das Gerät
kann nur mit diesen vier Nitrox-
Gemischen und den dafür festge-
legten Dosierungen betrieben
werden. Das Gerät darf auch nicht
mit reinem Sauerstoff betrieben
werden.
Das Dolphin wurde konzipiert und
konstruiert für das Sporttauchen.
Es darf nur in Tauchtiefen bis ma-
ximal 40m und nicht für geplante
Dekompressionstauchgänge ein-
gesetzt werden. In jedem Fall gel-
ten für den Benutzer des Dolphin
vorrangig die Ausbildungsrichtlini-
en des Ausbildungsverbandes bei
dem Sie als Dolphin Taucher zer-
tifiziert wurden.

Benutzen Sie niemals das Dolphin
Mischgaskreislauftauchgerät für
Dekompressionstauchgänge oder
in Tauchtiefen die größer sind als
40m. In jedem Fall gelten für den
Benutzer des Dolphin vorrangig
die Ausbildungsrichtlinien des
Ausbildungsverbandes bei dem
Sie als Dolphin Taucher zertifiziert
wurden. Eine Mißachtung dieser
Warnung kann zu schweren per-
sönlichen Schäden oder zum Tod
führen.
What the Dolphin will do
and will not do.
The Dolphin is a semi-closed cir-
cuit nitrox (oxygen enriched air)
rebreather. It is designed and
manufactured for recreational di-
ving, and MUST NOT be used at
depths greater than 130' or for

staged decompression diving.

pression diving or for diving to
depths greater than 130'. Failure
to follow this warning could lead
to serious personal injury or death.
The Dolphin has several distinct
advantages over traditional open
circuit scuba equipment. It allows
the diver to spend a greater time
underwater at a given depth due
to its far more efficient utilization
of oxygen; the quantity of bubbles
released from the unit is vastly di-
minished as compared to open
circuit scuba; and the use of the
nitrox mixtures approved with the
Dolphin can provide for extended
bottom times at the appropriate
depth for each mixture in contrast
to simple air. Nevertheless, becau-
se the Dolphin is a rebreather,
which by definition recirculates the
diver's expired air to remove car-
bon dioxide and add oxygen, the-
re are significant hazards with its
use that must be thoroughly un-
derstood before the unit may be
used with an acceptable margin
of safety.
