1. General notes

Before installation, read these
installation instructions carefully
as well as the operating and

maintenance instructions for the
RB 170. Follow the instructions.
Pass the instructions over to the
owner for safekeeping for future
use.

1.1 Installation staff

The ventilation unit may only be installed by
specialist installers with proven competence.
Only qualified electricians are permitted to
make the electrical connections.
Installation staff are trained in electrical
engineering and are aware of the risks and
consequences of an electric shock.

1.2 Symbols used

Direct risk of danger. Failure to
observe will result in severe
injury or death.
DANGER
Possibly dangerous situation
which could result in minor to
moderate injuries.
WARNING
Possible situation which could
NOTICE
cause damage to the product or
its surroundings.
INFO symbol indicating

2.1 RB 170 units

R = right-hand version
L = left-hand version
RB 170 R, RB 170 L: Standard unit with
RB-ZF4 room air control and 2x G4 filter.
RB 170 CR, RB 170 CL: Comfort unit with
RB-ZF4 room air control. As the standard unit
but with 1x G4 and 1x F7 pollen filter, addi-
tionnal electric heating register and sound-
optimised housing with extra insulation.
RB 170 CBR, RB 170 CBL: Bypass unit
with digital RB-D1-ZF4 room air control.
As comfort unit. Also with bypass channel.
