CONSTRUCTION AND APPLICATION
The table saw for tiles is designed for wet cutting of ceramic tiles or similar
materials, with dimensions appropriate for the size of the saw itself. The
saw must not be used for cutting wood or metal. Only cutting discs
designed for this type of device should be used with the saw. The saw is
designed for all types of DIY work (handiwork).
Do not use the device for purposes other than those for which it is
intended.
WORKING WITH THE DEVICE
CAUTION! Before performing any adjustments on the cutter, make
sure that it has been disconnected from the power supply.
CAUTION! The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage
specified on the cut-off saw's rating plate. The cut-off saw may only
be switched on when the material to be cut is clear of the cutting
disc.
PREPARATION FOR WORK
The tile cutter is delivered unassembled. Remove the components from
the packaging and assemble the cutter.
• Attach the legs (Fig. A1) to the base (Fig. A16) and secure them with
screws (supplied).
• Place the head with the worktop in the base, making sure that the
water pump (Fig. C18) is fixed in the correct position on the base (if
necessary, slide the water hose onto the circulation pump
connector).
• Install the cutting length limiter knobs, Fig. A3.
• Install the head holder
• Unscrew the head locking screw
• Connect the adjustable protractor to the stop bar (Fig. A17) using a
screw (the adjustable protractor can be mounted on both sides of
the work table).
• Make sure that all assembled components are correctly and
securely fastened so that they do not move during operation,
increasing the risk to the user.
CAUTION! Before starting work, start the saw after assembly to
ensure that all components are correctly secured.
CAUTION! Before using the cutter, unscrew the head lock screw.
Otherwise, the head cannot be moved together with the cutting disc.
During cutting, the water pump should be immersed in water.
TURNING ON/OFF
Switching on - press the I button on the switch, fig. B12a.
Switching off - press the O button on the switch, fig. B12b.
The power cord plug of the cutter is equipped with a residual current
device. Before starting the device, check that the residual current device
is working properly.
• Insert the plug into the power socket.
• Press the "Reset" button – the power indicator will turn red.
• Start the cutter.
• Press the "Test" button – the indicator light will turn black and the
cutter will switch off.
• Press the "Reset" button again and start working.
In the event of a malfunction of the residual current device (other than
described above), immediately remove the power cord plug from the
mains socket and send the device to an authorised service centre for
repair.
CUTTING
The water pump, power cord and water supply hose must not be located
in the cutting area. Before starting to cut, the cutting disc must reach its
maximum speed. Wait until the cooling water jet reaches the cutting disc.
The base of the adjustable angle gauge acts as a longitudinal stop.
• Set the angle gauge to 0°° , as shown in Fig. C20, and tighten the
angle gauge lock knob.
• Set the angle gauge to the correct dimension using the scale on the
stop bar.
• Move the ceramic plate towards the stop strip and the base of the
adjustable angle gauge, fig. C20.
• Start the cutter by pressing the "I" button on the switch fig. B12a
and wait until the water reaches the cutting disc.
• Make the cut by moving the head slowly and evenly, fig. A6, holding
the handle, fig. A13, with your hand. Hold the ceramic tile
(preferably with a tile holder) to prevent it from moving, taking care
not to injure yourself.
• Switch off the cutter by pressing the "O" button on the switch, fig.
B12b.
Always move the cutter head far enough so that the cut can be made
completely. Switch off the cutter and wait until the cutting disc has stopped
before removing the cut pieces of material.
ANGLE CUTTING
• Select and set the appropriate cutting angle on the adjustable
protractor
• Place the ceramic plate against the stop bar, fig. C17, and the base
of the adjustable angle gauge, fig.
• Make the cut as described above.
BEVEL CUTTING
• Loosen the bevel lock knobs (Fig. A11) on both sides of the device.
• Tilt the head to the appropriate angle (the set angle can be read on
the scale, fig. B19).
• Tighten the angle lock knobs, fig. A11.
• Make the cut as described above.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Before performing any installation, adjustment, repair or maintenance
work, disconnect the power cord from the mains socket.
REPLACING THE CUTTING BLADE
• Remove the cutting disc guard, Fig. C14, by unscrewing the fixing
screws.
• Using special wrenches (supplied), unscrew the nut securing the cutting
disc, fig. C15.
Important! The nut must be unscrewed in the direction of rotation of the
cutting disc (left-hand thread).
• Remove the outer flange washer.
• Remove the cutting disc (Fig. C14) from the spindle shaft.
• Set the new cutting disc in a position where the arrow on it is fully
aligned with the direction indicated by the arrow on the cutting disc
cover, fig. C15.
• Clean the surfaces of the spindle shaft and flange washers.
• Install the new cutting disc (in the reverse order of removal) and
tighten the cutting disc retaining nut.
• Install the cutting disc cover (Fig. C14) using screws.
• Turn the cutting disc by hand to check that it moves freely.
• Connect the saw to the mains and start it, allowing it to run at full speed
for a few minutes.
Ensure that the cutting disc is rotating in the correct
direction. The direction of rotation of the spindle is
indicated by an arrow on the saw housing.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
• After finishing work, carefully remove all pieces of material and dust
from the work table and the area around the cutting blade and its
guards.
• The saw is best cleaned with a piece of cloth or a brush.
• Do not use chemical cleaning agents to clean the saw.
• Drain the water from the base into a suitable container by removing
the drain plug.
• Regularly clean the base and water pump of any dirt.
• Keep the motor ventilation slots clear.
• Regularly check that all screws and fasteners are tight. They may
become loose during operation.
• Always store the saw in a dry place out of the reach of children.
