2 Safety information

◾ Please use the battery cell blocks only for the repair purposes described in this
document for the specified vehicle type.
◾ Read all safety information and instructions before use. Failure to follow the safety
information and instructions can cause life-threatening injuries, electric shock and
fire.
◾ Keep all safety information and instructions within easy reach and close to the
equipment.
◾ Touching live parts can result in life-threatening electric shocks. The modification
may therefore only be carried out by qualified persons. Country-specific regulations
must be adhered to. In addition, the Bosch-specific product training course is re-
quired for this product.

◾ Avoid working in the vicinity of the HV battery repair kit if there is a lot of dust in
order to prevent external short circuits.
◾ Avoid metallic dust being deposited on parts of the battery.
◾ Never attempt to open or dismantle the battery cell blocks.
◾ Do not expose the battery cell blocks to heat or fire.
◾ Do not store the battery cell blocks in direct sunlight.
◾ Do not store the battery cell blocks in the rain.
◾ Never short-circuit the battery cell block terminals.
◾ The battery cell blocks may only be installed in the ascending numbering sequence
shown on the battery cell blocks.
◾ Do not install a battery cell block from any other than the same HV battery repair kit.
◾ Keep the product away from external mechanical collisions.
◾ Do not allow skin or eyes to come into contact with the liquid from a leaking bat-
tery cell block. In the event of such contact, wash the affected area with plenty of
water and consult a doctor.
◾ Do not connect a battery cell block directly to wall sockets.
◾ Do not short-circuit the battery cell block by connecting wires or other metal ob-
jects to both the positive terminal ⊕ and the negative terminal ⊖.
◾ Do not pierce the battery cell block housing with a nail or another sharp object. Do
not try to break it open or step on it.
