For swales, mowing is carried out as needed, but at least annually:
▪ Grass clippings must be removed.

▪ If necessary, the infiltration capacity can be improved or restored by scarifying.
09.05 Cleaning dirt trap or sludge bucket with fine filter

Dirt traps must not be permanently removed, as this would result in the failure of the
infiltration system!
Dirt traps (sludge buckets) with or without fine filters (sieves) collect contaminants
that accumulate on the connected surfaces.

The dirt traps must be checked and emptied regularly. The frequency of these
checks / cleanings depends on the degree of soiling of the connected surfaces.
This can vary depending on the season (leaf fall in autumn, pollen in spring etc.).
