Pour désactiver ces tonalités de confirmation, procéder de la ma-
nière suivante:
• Eteindre le Pocket Com PMR Profi.
• Maintenir appuyée la touche "ENTER" (5) et
allumer l'appareil en même temps. Après
env. 1 seconde, lâcher à nouveau la touche
"ENTER" (5).
• Appuyer sur la touche "F" (6) jusqu'à ce que
" on " et le symbole "note" apparaisse sur
l'écran dans le coin droit.
• Sélectionner la position "FF" à l'aide des
touches "UP" ou "DOWN".
• Eteindre l'appareil, puis le rallumer ou ap-
puyer sur la touche "ENTER" (5).
• Le Bip Roger est maintenant désactivé.
Tonalité de clavier/tonalité de confirmation
Lors de la mise en service et qu'une touche quelconque est enfon-
cée (sauf CALL, MON et PTT), une tonalité de confirmation se fait
entendre. Pour désactiver cette tonalité de confirmation, procéder
de la manière suivante :
• Maintenir la touche "ENTER" (5) appuyée et
allumer en même temps l'appareil. Après
env. 1 seconde, lâcher à nouveau la touche
"ENTER" (5).

Channel Scan
The channel scan function operates in two different ways: scan for
busy channels (SCAN) and scan for idle channels (B.SCAN).
Scan for busy channels (SCAN)
• To start scanning for channels, switch the walkie-talkie on by
using the "VOL/OFF" rotary control (3).
• Press the "F" key (6) and select the "SCAN" menu item.
• Press the "UP" or "DOWN" key.
This activates scanning and all channels are successively sear-
ched. If a signal is received in a channel, scanning is briefly inter-
rupted. After roughly 5 seconds scanning for channels resumes. To
stop scanning, press the "PTT" (15) or "ENTER" (5) keys.
Scanning for idle channels (B.SCAN)
To initiate this type of scan, first repeat the procedure described
above but select "B.SCAN" in the menu. With this type of scan the
first idle channel (no signal) out of 8 available channels is displayed
for roughly 5 seconds. Busy channels are skipped.
Reception
Your walkie-talkie can operate in two different ways depending on
how it is set up and the channel that is used:
1. Open traffic
In this case you hear any call which is made in the selected radio
channel.
2. Group call (CTCSS/DCS)
The CTCSS/DCS features send inaudible identification tones
with the transmitted call and allow selective calling to or by devi-
