Confirmation key [ENTER]/backlighting
After switching on, briefly pressing the Enter key switches the
display backlighting on for roughly 6 seconds. Pressing the
Enter key again switches the backlighting off. Pressing and
holding the Enter key down at the same time as switching the
device on (OFF/VOL) takes you to the current menu, you can
use the UP/DOWN keys to modify the menu parameters.

Function key [F] / VOX function
Via this button the following function settings are possible:
SCAN, B.SCAN, CTCSS, DCS, DW and memory allocation. By
pressing the key the individual functions can be selected (fol-
lowing each function will be explained in detail).
In order to activate the VOX function, hold the "F" function key
for approx. 2 seconds. "VOX" now appears on the display. To
deactivate this function, again hold the "F" function key for ap-
prox. two seconds.

Microphone
Talk into the built-in microphone from a distance of roughly 5-
10 cm and keep the Talk key (PTT) pressed whilst doing so.
8/9 Up/down keys (UP/DOWN)
These keys are used to select one of the 8 channels on which
the Pocket Com PMR Pro operates (UP = upwards, DOWN =
downwards).

Indicateur d'état des accus
Dès que l'indicateur d'état des accus commence à s'allumer, les
piles doivent être changées ou, dans le cas d'accus NiCd, les ac-
cus doivent être rechargés.
Fonction de remise à zéro (Reset)
Si l'appareil présente des fonctions anormales ou si une annulation
de toutes les programmations effectuées est souhaitée, il est pos-
sible de procéder à une remise à zéro (RESET) en appuyant sur la
touche "F" tout en éteignant l'émetteur-récepteur. Toutes les fonc-
tions repasseront alors au réglage usine d'origine.
Dépannage
Le rayon d'action maximal de Pocket Com PMR Profi peut atteind-
re jusqu'à 2 km (dans des conditions optimales). Cependant, si lors
de la transmission des perturbations devaient néanmoins intervenir,
il suffit souvent de se déplacer de quelques mètres. Lorsque l'ap-
pareil se trouve dans un immeuble ou un environnement compor-
tant de nombreux éléments de construction en métal, ou dans une
voiture, une réduction du rayon d'action peut se faire sentir.
