11.2 Switching on/off the device
Backlight
• Hold down the "MENU" button for 3 seconds. An audio signal is
played and the display comes up.
• Proceed in the same way to switch off the device.
The current radio channel as well as the sub-channel are saved
and used when the walkie-talkie is switched on again. The
settings will not be preserved if you remove the rechargeable
batteries.
Backlight:
Your walkie-talkie is equipped with a backlight. Press any button to
activate the backlight for 5 seconds.

11.3 Setting the radio channel

• Switch on the walkie-talkie.
• Use buttons "S" and "F" to select the desired radio channel.
• Press the "MENU" button to confirm and save the settings.
11.4 Setting the sub-channel
(CTCSS coding)
• Switch on the walkie-talkie.
• Press the "MENU" button. "SC" is displayed. After a
second, the current sub-channel is displayed.
• Press button "S" or "button "F" within one second
to select the desired sub-channel.
• Press the "MENU" button to confirm and save the
settings.
If you do not press a button within 2 seconds, the walkie-talkie
switches back to normal mode without saving the settings.
