Mounting and securing the winch

Portable use:
The Winch Box can be used in a portable manner with the included
straps and shackles. To set it up, wrap the rear strap around a tree or
attach it to a suitable anchor point, then secure the two loops to the
two rear shackles on the portable baseplate. Always ensure that the
straps do not come into contact with sharp edges or hot surfaces.

Fixed mount - four-bolt mounting method:
The Winch Box can be fixed mounted by using the four outer bolt holes
on the mounting plate to secure it to a surface. To withstand winching
forces, the mounting plate should have a minimum thickness of 1/4"
(6 mm). Make sure the structure you mount it to is strong enough to
handle these forces. When using the four-bolt mounting method, the
winch's wire rope can be attached back to the front shackle for double
lining.
