2 Safety
This section gives an overview of all the important safety aspects to provide optimal protection for people,
as well as for safe and error-free operation. Failure to follow the instructions and safety information in this
manual may result in significant danger.

2.1 Proper use
The filter control system is only designed for controlling a swimming pool pump and for warming the pool
water in private pools in rooms which are not potentially explosive.
Any other use or use that goes beyond this is considered improper use.
As a manufacturer, BEHNCKE is not liable for any damage resulting from this.
If another purpose is intended, this must be approved in writing by BEHNCKE GmbH.
Claims of any kind resulting from misuse are excluded!
2.2 Dangers when handling the filter control system
The filter control system is state-of-the-art and built in accordance with recognised safety regulations.
However, their use – especially in the event of incorrect operation or misuse –
may pose a risk:
• to the life and limb or the operator or a third party, or
• of damage to the control system, or
• to other material assets.
Anyone involved with assembly, start-up, operation, maintenance and servicing the pool
control system must:
• be mentally and physically suitable for it.
• be trained in its use.
• strictly follow this instruction manual.

Proper use also includes
• following all the information and operating instructions and
• complying with inspection and maintenance work
WARNING!
Danger from misuse!
• Only use original replacement parts.
• Modifications and alterations to the system components are forbidden
for safety reasons.
• For safety reasons, modifications and alterations to the pipelines
and the electronic installation may only be carried out by qualified
personnel.
