Close cover on tank.
Turn key switch (F) to position "1". The cleaner is switched ON and the
battery charge indicator lights (H) show the charge state of the battery.
Driving the cleaner
The drive levers are located to the left and right of the control panel. The
cleaner is made to travel forwards by applying thumb-pressure to these
levers. Pulling on the levers causes the cleaner to travel backwards.
The cleaner is authorised for use on gradients up to 2 %.
If while the cleaner is travelling backwards the operator becomes
trapped between the machine and a wall, for example, the drive motor
is turned off by the action of safety switch.
Braking action for the cleaner is provided by the drive motor and gears,
and takes effect as soon as the drive levers are released.
To park the cleaner, apply parking brake. Indicator light (G) on the
control panel illuminates to show that the brake has been applied.
Water supply
Turn the water supply knob (D) in an anticlockwise direction. The
submerged pump switches on, and the green indicator light (A)
illuminates. Turn the rotary knob to the required setting between MIN
and MAX (Water flow control).
Note: The setting will depend upon the type and degree of soiling on
the floor surface.
Activating the cleaning head
Lower the cleaning head by means of pedal. The brush motor is
switched on automatically.
Adjusting the brush contact pressure – see Chapter "Adjusting the
brush contact pressure".
Note: The selection of the position depends on the type and extent of
contamination of the floor covering.
