Lowering the suction bar
Pull out the suction bar actuator lever, and press downwards. The
suction bar is lowered, and the suction turbine is activated.
The suction bar automatically adapts to the floor conditions, and does
not require any further adjustment.
To adjust the angle or inclination of the suction bar – see sub-section
"Adjusting the suction bar".
Note: If it becomes necessary to drive backwards whilst cleaning is
taking place, you must first raise the suction bar.
Raising the suction bar
Swivel the actuator lever upwards. The suction bar locks into position.
Note: Suction turbine runs on for a further 10 sec. in order that any
water left in the suction bar and/or suction channels is drawn back into
the unit. Upon completion, the turbine automatically switches off.
Adjusting the brush contact pressure
The contact pressure for the cleaning head can be adjusted by means
of hand lever. The correct adjustment can be identified by observing the
cleaning results. If the brush motors are overloaded, the brushes remain
stationary and indicator light (C) on the control panel illuminates. When
this happens, turn key switch (F) to position "0", and reduce the brush
contact pressure accordingly. Then turn the key switch back to position
"1".
Important: If the amount of brush contact pressure is set to a higher
level than is required for the particular cleaning task:
– the drive motors consume more electricity
– the brushes wear out prematurely
– the length of time available for working with the cleaner is reduced
unnecessarily, because the batteries will be discharged
prematurely.
Note: The brush contact pressure should not be set too high when
polishing floors. Set hand lever to the highest position, otherwise
damage might be caused to the floor surface.
