The remaining peets in the burner hopper wi
continue to burn after the stove has cooed down
and the error code has been removed.
Otherwise, the stove must be restarted for
norma operation.
3. Fuse: A fuse on the rear of the device
protects the stove from power surges.
PELLET STOVE CLEANING SCHEDULE
DAILY CLEANING
Step 1: Shut down the stove and et it coo
competey.
Step 2: Grab your ash vacuum to remove ash
and debris from the 昀椀re pot and surrounding
area, as we as any pies of ash or debris that
you see.
Step 3: Lift up and remove 昀椀re pot – be certain
this area is cear of debris. Vacuum under the 昀椀re
pot, taking specia care to vacuum the airway
under the 昀椀re pot.
Step 4: Grab your ceaning too and move to the
昀椀re pot. Scrape any debris out of the 昀椀re pot,
making sure that a of the hoes in the 昀椀re pot
are free from any buidup.
Step 5: Wipe down the gass. Never cean the
gass with coo water or ceaner when the gass
is sti warm, since this can cause the gass to
crack. The method we recommend requires a
damp paper towe or coth. Dab it on to cooed
ashes and then wipe down the gass starting
from the top.
Step 6: Certain modes have ash drawers. t is a
good idea to empty it every time you cean your
stove. You can use an ash vacuum to cean the
ashes out of the drawer.
Step 7: The ceaning rods shoud be used daiy
after the stove has cooed down. These are
ceaning inside of the exhaust where ash and
debris can buid up. When too much buidup
occurs, your stove wi not have the proper
amount of airfow.
WEEKLY CLEANING
Step 1: Recommend etting the stove run out of
peets so the hopper is empty. Vacuum out the
hopper. Cean any dust out of the hopper and
inspect your auger.
Step 2: f equipped, remove the ash drawer and
vacuum out the drawer. Then brush and scrape
away any sag and buid up. Make sure the area
under the drawer is aso cean.
Step 3: nspect Auger chute. f you notice any
buid-up of creosote or peet dust, cean the
chute with a wire brush.
EVERY OTHER WEEK
Go outside, and visuay inspect the termination
cap on the exhaust. Make sure animas are not
trying to make it their home and check for any
buidup of ash on the grate.
AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH
Step 1: Use a ceaning brush to cear out the air
inet, ocated beneath the 昀椀re pot going towards
the back of the stove; exact pacement and size
wi vary from mode to mode.
Step 2: There are four exhaust ports at the top
of the burn chamber. Use a ceaning brush to
cear out the air exhaust ports in your burn
chamber. Verifying they are cear wi ensure
optima air fow in the chamber.
EVERY TWO (2) TONS OF PELLETS, OR
EVERY OTHER MONTH
nspect the cean out tee. Remove any ash that
has buit up and resea the connection if
necessary.
ANNUALLY
t is important to remove the combustion fan,
use a wire brush on creosote, and vacuum
debris. This is important for under the fan
and on the fan itsef. When you remove the
combustion fan, if the gasket is torn you can
remove the gasket and use red RTV high
temperature siicone to make a new gasket
for the fan.
You may need to remove the pipe from the
back of your stove and use a wire brush and
vacuum to cean that as we.
t may be necessary to hire a chimney
sweep to cean out your venting system
reguary. You must take specia care with
ebows as they can buid up creosote more
than straight pipes.
t is aso a good idea to cean your inet duct
yeary as we. t is ocated behind the right
hand side pane.
There is an air inet cover that must be removed,
and the airway shoud be ceaned. f the gasket
gets torn or damaged a new one can be made
with red RTV.
