1
Check all connections once again for correctness.
2
Put the fader slide controllers of the mixing desk to the position "0".
3
Turn on the playback sources like record player, CD player, tape deck, etc.
4
Turn the mixing desk on with the on/off switch (1).
5
Turn the volume control of the connected amplifier(s) all the way down.
6
Turn the amplifier on.
7
On the amplifier, select the input to which the mixing desk is connected (e.g. AUX).
8
Start playback on one of the appliances connected to the mixing desk inputs (e.g. the CD player).
9
With the input selection switches (10) select the desired input PHONO or LINE.
10 Put the gain controllers (12) and MASTER controller (5) to about centre position.
11 Put the MONITOR controller (6) to position "CUE".
12 Set the CUE switch (19) to the position "CUE". In this switch position, you can read off the level of the
input signal on the record level indicator (17). This lets you control the input level.
13 In case of a distorted input signal, set the level of the input signal with the gain controller (12) in such a
way that the mixing desk is not oversteered. The recording level indicator should be located around 0
dB.
14 After you have checked the input level, put the CUE switch (19) back to the position OFF and turn the
MONITOR controller (6) to the position PGM. Now you can control the output level via the recording
level indicator.
15 Slide the corresponding stereo fader (18) on the mixing desk towards "10" until the recording level dis-
play (17) just about reaches "0dB" with loud music passages. You might have to adjust the output sig-
nal with the MASTER controller (5)
16 Now turn the volume control of the connected amplifier to a suitable volume.
17 Make sure that the connected loudspeakers and the amplifier are not overloaded. Playback may not be
distorted.
18 Now you can try out the individual functions of the mixing desk.
If the music signal is distorted although the volume of the amplifier is not set too high
and the mixing desk was adjusted properly, turn the mixing desk off immediately and
check the connection. If the connection seems OK, please contact an expert.
Turning off:
1 To turn the mixing desk off, first turn the volume on the amplifier all the way down.
2 Turn the amplifier off.
3 Turn off the mixing desk off with the on/off switch (1) and then the other playback sources (record player,
CD player, etc.). If you do not use the mixing desk for longer periods of time, pull the power plug out of the
wall outlet.
Non-compliance with this sequence may damage the loudspeakers or the amplifier.
Listening – Pre-Listening:
Prior to plugging in or putting on the headphones, first set the headphone volume to
minimum (LEVEL controller (9) to position "0"). Only increase the volume to a comfor-
table level after you have put the headphones on.
Do not listen to music with an excessive volume over longer periods of time, especi-
ally not via headphones, as this damages your hearing.
26
(26) BOOTH output
The MASTER signal is switched to this output (mixed audio output signal), the output level, however, is not
influenced by the MASTER controller but the BOOTH controller (3). The BOOTH output can be used as an
additional output, separated from the MASTER.
(27) REC output
You can connect the recording input of a cassette deck for recording to this stereo cinch output. The
MASTER signal is switched to the REC output with a set signal that cannot be influenced with the MASTER
controller.
(28) MASTER output (OUTPUT)
The MASTER signal (mixed audio signal) is switched to this output. Connect the input of your amplifier to
this stereo cinch output.
The red cinch plug is the right and the white cinch plug the left output.
(29) Safety clamp
(30) Main connection cable
(31) Ground screw clamp
To avoid humming sounds, you can establish a ground connection between the mixing desk and the turn-
tables via this screw clamp.

Installing the Appliance

When selecting the installation site for the appliance, make sure that it will not be exposed to direct, inten-
sive sunlight, vibrations, dust, heat, cold and dampness. There may also not be any strong transformer or
motors in proximity to the mixing desk as these may influence the mixing desk.
The mixing desk is suited for installation in a rack and as a tabletop device. The four mounting holes (21) in
the top cover serve for rack mounting.
When installing the appliance in a rack with other equipment, make sure it is suffi-
ciently ventilated.
Do not drill or screw any additional screws into the casing for mounting the appliance
as this will damage it.
Install the appliance on a stable surface and ensure a safe stand.
Due to the large variety of furniture lacquers and polishes, it cannot be ruled out that
the feet of the appliance leave behind visible residues on the furniture due to chemical
reactions. Therefore, do not place the device on valuable furniture without a suitable
protection.
Connection:
Prior to connection, disconnect the mixing table and all other devices to be connected to the mixing table
from the mains (pull the power plug).
For connection to the cinch outputs and inputs, only use suitably screened cinch
cables. Only use a suitable microphone cable for connecting the microphone input.
Using other cables may lead to disruptions. In order to avoid distortions or maladjust-
ments that may lead damages to the device, you may only connect playback devices
with a cinch output to the cinch inputs, respectively only the cinch inputs of an audio
device to the cinch outputs of the mixing table.
Also refer to the connection values in the "Technical Data".
