Removing the spool (Fig. E)
1. Press the lock (55) on both sides
of the spool cap (30) firmly in-
wards.
Proceed with caution: do not dam-
age the spool.
2. Remove the cover of the spool
cap.
3. Remove the spool from the spool
cap.
4. Press the lock button (49) to lock
the uptake spindle (48).
5. Unscrew the spool cap (30) ⭯
from the uptake spindle (48).
Inserting the spool (Fig. E)
1. Insert both ends of the line through
one line outlet loop each (51).
2. Insert the spool (53) into the spool
cap (30).
3. Close the spool cap (30) with the
cover.
4. Pull on both ends of the line to re-
lease the lines from the grooves.
5. Shorten the ends of the line to ap-
prox. 15 cm. ⭯ Press and turn the
rotary knob (50).
Winding the mower line onto the
spool
You can wind a new mowing line onto
the spool yourself.
Requirements
• Nylon mower line: ⌀ 2.4 mm; Line
length 5 m
Procedure
1. Insert the line through the centre
of the spool (53). Both ends of the
line should be the same length.
2. Wind both ends of the line as
tightly as possible in the direction
of the arrow. There is one spool
half for each end of the line.
3. Clamp the ends of the line in op-
posite grooves on the spool (53).

Fitting and removing the metal
cutting tools
CAUTION! Cutting injuries! Wear
cut-resistant gloves to avoid injury.

• Protective cover (27): fitted

• Hex key (15)
• Combination tool (31)
Notes
• Only use metal cutting tools re-
commended by the manufacturer.
• Only use undamaged metal cutting
tools.
• Metal cutting tools without direc-
tional indication can be used on
both sides.
Procedure (Fig. E)
1. Switch off the device, wait until
all moving parts have come to a
complete standstill and remove the
batteries.
2. Fit the transport protection (25)
onto the metal cutting tool.
3. Block the spindle lock (49) with the
hex key (15) (see illustration).
4. Disassembly: Remove the cutting
tool from the uptake spindle (48).

Assembly: Place the cutting tool
on the uptake spindle (48).
If a direction of rotation is indic-
ated on the metal cutting tool, this
must match the direction of rota-
tion arrow on the protective cover
(27).
5. Place the cutting tool (26) on the
uptake spindle (48).
6. Secure the cutting tool with the
washer (47), clamping disk (46)
and nut (45).
