General safety instructions

Access by children as well as sick
and frail people is to be prevented.
42
Children must be carefully supervised
when in the vicinity of machinery.
Observe the regional and local acci-
dent prevention regulations applic-
able to your location. The same ap-
plies to all provisions on occupational
health and safety at work.
The manufacturer cannot be held
liable if its machines are modified
without authorisation and if such
changes result in damage to people
or property.
 WARNING! Basic precaution-
ary measures are to always be taken
when using machines. Please also
observe all tips and notices in the ad-
ditional safety instructions.
1. Pay attention to the environ-
mental conditions in which you
are working. Make sure you have
a secure footing in wet conditions,
snow, ice, on slopes and on un-
even terrain.
2. Do not let third parties access
the device. Visitors and observ-
ers, especially children and sick
and frail people must be kept away
from the work area. Prevent oth-
er people from coming into con-
tact with the tools. Only pass the
device on to people who are famil-
iar with the device and its hand-
ling.
3. Ensure tools are stored securely.
Tools that are not in use must be
stored in a dry, preferably high loc-
ation, or locked away out of ac-
cess.
4. Always use the right tool for
every job. For example, do not
use small tools or accessories for
work that actually has to be done
with heavy-duty tools. Use tools
only for the purposes for which
they were designed.
