Sharpening the line cutter
WARNING! Risk of injury! Never
use the device with a defective line
cutter. Replacement line cutters are
available from our online shop (Spare
parts and accessories, p. 60).
CAUTION! Cutting injuries! Wear
cut-resistant gloves to avoid injury.
Tools and aids required
• Vice
• Flat file
Procedure
1. Switch off the engine and let the
device cool down.
2. Unscrew the line cutter (28) from
the black protective cover (27).
3. Clamp the line cutter (28) in a vice
and sharpen the blade with a flat
file. File carefully, and always in
one direction only.
4. Screw the line cutter (28) back
onto the protective cover (27).
Lubricating the gears
Lubricate the gears about every 10
operating hours.
Tools and aids required
• Hex key (15)
• Multi-purpose grease
Procedure
1. Remove the screw (29) on the
gears.
2. Press approx. 5 g of grease into
the lubrication opening on the gear
housing.
3. Close the gears again using the
screw (29).

Storage

Notes
• Always store the device and ac-
cessories:
• clean
• dry
• protected against dust
• out of the reach of children
• Always secure metal cutting tools
with the corresponding transport
protection.
• Do not pack the device in plastic
bags. Moisture and mould could
form.
• Devices with battery:
• The storage temperature for the
battery and device is between
0 °C and 45 °C. Avoid extreme
cold or heat during storage to
ensure the battery output is not
adversely affected.
• Remove the battery from the
device before storage over a
longer period (see separate op-
erating instructions for battery
and charger).
Wall bracket
You can hang the motor part on the
wall with the keyhole (16) on the bot-
tom of the device.
Tools and aids required (not in-
cluded)
• Screw (screw head: ⌀ 7–10 mm)
• Corresponding screwdriver
• Dowels, if necessary
Attaching the wall bracket
WARNING! Personal injury or
damage to property during drilling.
Use suitable detectors to determ-
ine if there are hidden supply lines
or contact the local utility company
for assistance. Contact with elec-
tric cables can cause fire and electric
shock. Damaging gas lines can lead
to explosion. Breaking water pipes
causes property damage.
• Using dowels, place one screw at
the desired position on a wall.
