If you suspect a mal-
function
Sometimes the reason for a breakdown of this
unit is misoperation or a failure of another piece
of equipment.
Before calling the serviceman, carefully read the
instruction manual once again and check the
various connections and operation.
If no sound is produced check the follow-
ing points
* If the SELECTOR SWITCH indicator lighted
for the program source you wish to hear?
* Is the VOLUME display lighted?
1 If the display is flashing, it means the MUT-
ING switch has ben pressed; press the
switch once again.
* Has the amplifier's volume control been set
to ''MIN'' by mistake? Or has the ampilifi-
er's REMOTE CONT./TAPE-2 switch been
pressed?
* Are all pin-plug cords and mini-plug cords
connected securely to their rear panel ter-
minals?
If the remote control unit does not func-
tion properly, check the following
points:
* Are you pointing the remote control unit
properly at the signal receiving window on
the main unit?
* If the remote control unit's batteries have
become depleted, the output indicator at the
upper left of the remote control will become
dark,,or not light at all when switches are
pressed.
* ts sunlight or light from bright spotlights fall-
ing directly on the signal receiving window?
* Are the parallel cords with connectors con-
nected properly to the plugs on the rear
panel?

malie apparente
Il arrive souvent que la raison d'une défaillance
apparente de cet appareil réside dans une erreur
d'utilisation d'un autre composant. Avant de
faire appel a un spécialiste, priére de relire le
mode d'emploi et de vérifier les diverses démar-
ches des connexions ou de I'exploitation.
Si I'on ne pergoit aucun son, vérifier les
points suivants
* Le sélecteur (SELECTOR) est-il allumé sur la
source de programme que I'on veut écouter?
* L'affichage de VOLUME est-i! éclairé?
Si l'affichage clignote, cela veut dire que la
touche de MUTING est enfoncée; appuyer
& nouveau sur cette touche.
La commande de volume de !'amplificateur
a-t-elle été réglée par erreur sur la position
minimale (''MIN'')? Ou bien le sélecteur de
REMOTE CONT./TAPE-2 est-il enfoncé?
Les cordons a fiches a broches et les cor-
dons a minifiches sont-ils bien tous ferme-
ment raccordés aux bornes du panneau
arriére?
Si la télecommande ne fonctionne pas
correctement, vérifier les points suivants
* Dirige-t-on bien le bloc de télécommande sur
la fenétre réceptrice du signal de |'appareil
principal?
* si les piles du bloc de télécommande sont
usées, le témoin de sortie situé en haut a
gauche de la télécommande s'assombrit, et
parfois il ne s'allume plus du tout quand on
appuie sur les touches.
La fenétre réceptrice du signal recoit-elle
directement les rayons du soleil ou bien un
éclairage violent?
* Les cordons doubles dotés de connecteurs
sont-ils bien raccordés correctement aux
fiches du panneau arriére?

Betriebsstérung
Manchmal ist eine Betriebsstérung dieses Ge-
rates auf falsche Bedienung oder Versagen ei-
nes anderen Gerates zurtickzufiihren. Vor
Auforderung eines Kundendiensttechnikers soll-
ten Sie daher die Bedienungsanleitung noch-
mals aufmerksam durchlesen und die
verschiedenen Anschlusse und Bedienungs-
schritt Uberprifen.
Wenn kein Ton erzeugt wird, die folgen-
den Punkte tiberpriifen
* Leuchtet die SELECTOR Schalter-Anzeige
fiir die gewUnschte Programmquelie?
* Leuchtet die VOLUME-Anzeige?
Wenn die Anzeige blinkt, bedeutet dies, da
der MUTING-Schalter gedriickt worden ist.
Den Schalter durch erneutes Driicken aus-
rasten.
* Ist die Lautstarke am Verstarker versehent-
lich auf MIN gestellt worden? Ist der REMO-
TE CONT./TAPE-2-Schalter des Verstarkers
gedrtickt worden?
* Sind alle Stiftsteckerkabel und Ministecker-
kabel richtig an ihren Buchsen an der RUck-
wand angeschliossen?
Wenn die Fernbedienung nicht richtig
funktioniert, die folgenden Punkte iiber-
priifen:
* Wird die Fernbedienung richtig auf den Fern-
bedienungsempfanger an der Haupteinheit
gerichtet?
* Wenn die Batterien der Fernbedienung leer
sind, wird die Ausgangsanzeige oben links
an der Fernbedienung dunkel oder leuchtet
sie Uberhaupt nicht, wenn die einzelnen
Schalter betatigt werden.
* Fallt starkes Licht direkt auf den Ferbedie-
nungsempfanger?
* Sind die Parallelkabel mit den Steckverbin-
dern richtig an den Steckern an der Riick-
wand angeschlossen?
