7.4 AIR INLET FLAP/GRID AND GREASE FILTERS
The air inlet nozzle and grease filters absorb the greasy particles from cooking vapours.
Make sure that the cooktop and the fan are switched off (see the Operation chapter).
Wait until the fan indicator shows 0.
Remove the air inlet flap/grid and the grease filters.
Use a cleaner and degreaser in one.
Rinse the parts with hot water. Use a soft brush to clean them.
After cleaning, rinse the parts well and dry them with a tea towel.
Reset the filter timer (see the Operation chapter).
WARNING
Do not put the air inlet flap/grid in the dishwasher.
The grease filters can alternatively be washed in the dishwasher at a low temperature, but this
may vary their colour.
7.5 REMOVE LIQUIDS FROM THE APPLIANCE
The air guiding housing catches any liquid that flows into the appliance through the inlet
opening. To remove them, follow these steps:
Switch off the fan and deactivate the after-run function (see the Operation chapter).
Remove the air inlet flap/grid and the filters.
Drain the liquids with a dishcloth or a sponge.
7.6 ACTIVATED CARBON FILTERS
(ONLY IN RECIRCULATION VERSION)
After a prolonged use the activated carbon filters saturate and it is necessary to regenerate
them with a heating process. Follow these steps:
Remove the carbon filters.
Wash the carbon filters in the dishwasher with any common detergent. Max
temperature 70 °C.
NOTE
It is suggested to put the filters alone in the dishwasher to avoid food remains that
may deposit on the filters, causing them to smell badly.
After washing the filters, let them dry out completely.
Regenerate the carbon filters by putting them in the oven for circa 60 minutes with a
temperature less than 90°C.
Reset the filter timer (see the Operation chapter).
