The factory tag can be found on the measurement recorder. Two different factory panels are used de-
pending on the nominal size of the pressure equipment (> DN 25/1" or ≤ DN 25/1") (see also Article 3
Paragraph 3 in PED 97/23/EU):
a) Pressure equipment with nominal size > DN 25/1"
b) Pressure equipment with nominal width ≤ DN 25

The electrical installation, commissioning and maintenance of the equipment may only be undertaken by
a trained specialist who has been authorized to undertake such work by the system operator. The spe-
cialist must have read and understood this operating manual and must follow the instructions provided in
it.

Obligations of the operator
Before using corrosive or abrasive measuring agents, the operator must clarify that all parts which
come into contact with these measuring agents are resistant to such agents. Wetted parts is the
meter tube and the process connections. ABB would be happy to assist you with your selection, but
cannot assume liability for any choices made.
Always note the relevant national regulations applicable in your country with regard to test structures,
function checks, repairs and maintenance of electrical equipment.
The factory tag contains the following information:
• CE symbol (with number of the designated area) to con-
firm equipment conformity with the requirements of the
PED.

• Serial number for identification of the pressure equip-
ment by the manufacturer.
• Nominal width and nominal pressure stages of pressure
equipment
• Material from which the pressure equipment is pro-
duced and sealing compound of sensor (which comes
into contact with measuring agent).
• Year of construction of pressure equipment and infor-
mation about fluid groups to be taken into consideration
in accordance with (PressureEquipmentDirective =
PED) Fluid group 1 = dangerous fluids, liquids,
gaseous, (including unstable gases)
• Manufacturer of the pressure equipment
The factory tag contains almost the same information as the
tag described under a) with the following differences:
• There is no CE mark in accordance with Article 3 Para-
graph 3 in DGRL/PED.
• The reason for this exception, Article 3 Paragraph 3 of
the PED is specified on the panel under PED. The pres-
sure equipment is classified within the scope of SEP
(=Sound Engineering Practice).
