Battery replacement

Observe correct polarity while inserting the batteries. Remove the batteries if the
appliance is not used for a long period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking
or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when contact with skin, therefore use
suitable protective gloves to handle them.
Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not leave the battery lying around, as there
is risk, which children or domestic pets could swallow it.
Replace all your appliance's batteries at the same time. Mixing new and old batteries
can lead to battery leakage and device damage.
Make sure that batteries are not dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never
recharge/ charge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
Do not use Ni-MH rechargeable battery. Use Ni-Cd rechargeable or alkaline battery
only.
Make sure all non-rechargeable batteries are removed from the device before
connecting it to AC-to-DC power adapter.
Replace the battery with low battery symbol "LOW" appears.
1.
Turn off the device and disconnect the test leads from any circuit being measured.
2.
Detach the holster and lift off the stand (15).
3.
Unscrew the Philips screw at the lower back of the device by using a Philips screwdriver and
remove the battery compartment cover.
4.
Replace the batteries while observing the correct polarity.
5.
Close the battery compartment door and fasten the screw again.
6.
Reinstall the stand (15) of the device.
An optional AC-to-DC power adapter (230VAC/ 50Hz to 7.5 VDC/ 1A) can be used as external power
source. Make sure there is no non-rechargeable battery is in battery compartment before connecting the
device to AC-to-DC power adapter.
Maintenance
General care
Switch off the device before clean the appliance with dry, anti-static cloth only. Do not use abrasives or
solvents!
Fuse replacement
Main board
1.
Turn off the device and disconnect the test leads from any circuit being measured.
2.
Detach the holster and lift off the stand (15).
3.
Remove the Philips screw at the lower back of the device by using a Philips screwdriver and
remove the battery compartment cover.
4.
Remove all batteries.
5.
Replace the defected fuse at the bottom of the battery compartment with new fuse of the same
specification, F250V/800mA.
6.
Reinstall the batteries observing correct polarity.
7.
Close the battery compartment door and fasten the screw again.
8.
Reinstall the stand (15) of the device.
Power board
1.
Turn off the device and disconnect the test leads from any circuit being measured.
2.
Detach the holster and lift off the stand (15).
3.
Remove the Philips screw at the lower back of the device by using a Philips screwdriver and
remove the battery compartment cover.
4.
Remove all batteries.
5.
Remove the Philips screws (one at the top, two at the bottom) inside the battery compartment and
open the device's casing.
6.
Replace the defective fuse with new fuse of the same specification, F250V/1A..
7.
Reinstall the back cover with the three screws.
8.
Reinstall the batteries observing correct polarity.
9.
Close the battery compartment door and fasten the screw.
10.
Reinstall the stand (15) of the device.

Cursor menu (Cursormenü)
"HOLD RUN" drücken, um das Cursormenü auszuwählen. Der Cursor besteht aus zwei Linien, die auf
dem Bildschirm bewegt werden können, um den Zeitintervall zwischen zwei Punkten zu messen.
1.
Δt: Time-Tracking
"MENU" drücken, um den Cursor auszuwählen.
Wenn "Δt" markiert ist, "t/p" oder "q/u" drücken, um die Cursorposition zu justieren. Der Wert
wird unten in der LCD-Anzeige angezeigt.
"MENU" drücken, um den Cursor zu ändern.

Δ1/f: Frequenz-Tracking
"AUTO SETUP" drücken, um das Frequenz-Cursormenü auszuwählen.
Wenn "Δ1/f" markiert ist, "t/p" oder "q/u" drücken, um die Cursorposition zu justieren. Der Wert
wird unten in der LCD-Anzeige angezeigt.
"AUTO SETUP" drücken, um den Cursor zu ändern.

Δv: Frequenz-Tracking
"DMM SCOPE" drücken, um das Frequenz-Cursormenü auszuwählen.
Wenn "Δv" markiert ist, "t/p" oder "q/u" drücken, um die Cursorposition zu justieren. Der Wert
wird unten in der LCD-Anzeige angezeigt.
"DMM SCOPE" drücken, um den Cursor zu ändern.
4.
"HOLD RUN" drücken, um aus dem Cursormenü auszusteigen und zur ursprünglichen Anzeige
zurückzukehren.
20MHz Monitoring Menu
Diese Funktion erscheint nur, wenn die Eingangsfrequenz über 5MHz ist.
1.
"MENU" drücken, um das Hauptmenü anzuzeigen und das Achsenmenü auszuwählen.
2.
Durch Drücken von "MENU" Funktion "T/D" auswählen.
3.
Wiederholt "q/u" drücken, bis T/D in den PLL Modus übergeht.
4.
"MENU" drücken, um "V/D" zu markieren.
5.
"t/p" oder "q/u" drücken, um den Wert zu justieren.
6.
"MENU" erneut drücken, um zur "T/D" Justierung zu gehen. "t/p" oder "q/u" drücken, um den
Wert zu justieren.
7.
"AUTO SETUP" drücken, um die horizontale und vertikale Achse automatisch einzustellen.
8.
"DMM SCOPE" drücken, um AC- oder DC-Kupplung auszuwählen.
9.
"HOLD RUN" drücken, um das Cursormenü zu verlassen und zur ursprünglichen Anzeige
zurückzukehren.
