Adjusting the stroke
strength
The pendulum movement of the saw blade
can be adjusted with the pendulum stroke
switch (8). There are 4 positions for the
pendulum stroke switch (8):
0 - no stroke
1 - low stroke
2 - medium stroke
3 - high stroke
The optimal stroke strength can be estab-
lished through practice; the following set-
tings are recommended:
• Fine and clean cutting edges can be
achieved with little or no pendulum mo-
tion (level 1 or 0).
• For thin material, hard material (e.g. steel)
and for cutting curves, use level 0 also.
• Soft material (wood, plastic, etc.):
Set the pendulum to level II or III.
With the pendulum stroke activated
you can work much faster.
Connecting external
dust extraction
Dust extraction starts automatically when
switching on the device if the switch for the
dust blower function (6) is set to position
"0".
Connecting external dust
extraction:
1. Slide the adapter for the external dust
extraction (26) into the connection for the
dust extraction (4) as far as it will go.
2. Connect the suction tube of a vacuum
cleaner (not included) to the adapter
for external dust extraction (26).
Removing the external dust
extraction:
1. Disconnect the suction tube from the
adapter for external dust extraction
(26).
2. Disconnect the adapter for external
dust extraction (26).
If necessary, you can connect the
suction tube of a vacuum cleaner
directly to the device without an
adapter.
Switching the dust
blower function on/off
1. To switch on the dust blower function,
move the switch for the dust blower
function (6) to position
2. To switch it off, move the switch for the
dust blower function (6) to position "0".
Plunge cuts
Plunge cuts may only be made in soft ma-
terials such as wood, aerated concrete,
plasterboard, etc. However, this requires a
certain amount of practice and is possible
only with short saw blades.
Plunge cuts are only allowed if the mitre
angle is 0°.
1. Place the saw on the workpiece and
switch it on.
2. Make sure that the front edge of the
bottom plate rests on the surface of the
workpiece.
3. Slowly saw at an angle into the work-
piece, then bring the saw into a verti-
cal position.
4. Continue sawing along the cutting line.
5. Turn off the saw and lift it off the work-
piece after finishing work.
