• AF button (7)
Press the AF button (7) once shortly >
Press the button again
The AF button (7) activates the automatic transmitter station tracking.
"AF" will be displayed.
If the reception of an RDS transmitter station gets weaker or the radio does not receive an RDS station at all, the
display flashes.
When a station can be received well, the symbol is displayed continuously.
When you leave a transmission area, the radio can only switch to a better sender when the AF function is activated.
Regional identification:
Press the AF button (7) for about 2 seconds until the display shows REG ON or REG OFF.
When you press the AF button once more, you switch between these two modes.
The normal display reappears automatically after a few seconds.
REG ON: As reception becomes weaker the radio switches to another frequency with exactly the same
programme.
REG OFF: As reception becomes weaker the radio switches to another station with the same regional identification.
• PTY button (20)
This button activates the PTY function. You can recognize it by the PTY display.
When pressing the PTY button, the display shows the selected programme type.
Set the programme type you want using the VOLUME control (3) and press one of the buttons  and  (2),
to start the auto-scan.
Now the automatic search for a station with this program type starts.
The following program types are available:
NEWS, AFFAIRS, INFO, SPORT, EDUCATE, DRAMA, CULTURE, SCIENCE, VARIED, POP M, ROCK M,
EASY M, LIGHT M, CLASSICS, OTHER M, WEATHER, FINANCE, CHILDREN, SOCIAL, RELIGION, PHONE IN,
TRAVEL, LEISURE, JAZZ M, COUNTRY, NATION M, OLDIES, FOLK M, DOCUMENT, TEST,ALARM
AF is switched on
> AF is switched off
