3.4 Vacuum generator
The vacuum is generated by 2 battery-operated vacuum pumps (12). The vacuum generation is designed for
smooth and suction-tight loads.
To save energy , the vacuum generator is automatically switched off as soon as the vacuum reaches -680
mbar. The vacuum generator switches on again automatically as soon as the vacuum drops below -580 mbar.

Falling of the load due to unauthorized adjustment of the automatic switch-off of
the vacuum generator

The automatic switch-off of the vacuum generator is optimally set at the factory and must
not be adjusted.
3.5 Suction plates
The suction plate is not included in the scope of delivery. It is used for suctioning the load. The selection of the
suction plate depends on the load (weight, geometry and surface properties).
Only use suction plates from the manufacturer Probst
on which the maximum permissible load capacity at a
negative pressure of -500 mbar is clearly indicated on
the load capacity sticker. If the situation is unclear, the
lifting device and the suction plate must not be put into
operation under any circumstances. Contact the Probst
company!
Standard suction plates are not suitable for handling
glass panes.

The suction plate (8) is pushed onto the mounting rail (6) and secured with the latch (7).
The maximum permissible load of the suction plate determines the maximum permissible load of
the entire lifting device (see load plate of the suction plate).
