11.5 CALL function
Press the "CALL" button to switch from receive mode to transmit-
mode and send a call signal. The device transmits a call signal to
indicate to the partner walkie-talkie that you are calling it (partner
walkie-talkie emits an audio signal).
11.6 Transmit and receive
Hold your walkie-talkie upright (aerial pointing upwards)
at a distance of 2.5 to 5 cm to your mouth.
Press the "PTT" button. "TX" is displayed and the walkie-
talkie is in transmit mode. Speak clearly into the built-in
microphone, but not too loudly.
Let go of the "PTT" button when you are done speaking.
The device switches to receive mode. As soon as a radio
signal is received, "RX" is displayed and the partner
walkie-talkie is played back by the loudspeaker.
Note that your conversation can be heard by anyone
using the same radio channel and sub-channel.
Listening in to conversations not intended for you is
impermissible. The contents of radio messages over-
heard unintentionally must not be disclosed to others.
11.7 SCAN function
The SCAN function scans through all channels successively. It stops
when radio operation on a channel is detected.
• Hold down the "S" button or the "F" button for 2 seconds. The
walkie-talkie starts scanning.
