• Never replace damaged connections yourself. If
necessary, disconnect the device from the mains
and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour liquids on electrical devices. This poses
a serious risk of fire or electric shock. If such a case
does occur, disconnect the wall power supply from
the mains socket immediately and consult an
expert.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repairs may only be
carried out by a qualified specialist or a specialised
repair shop.
• For any questions not treated in these operating
instructions, please contact our customer service
or other specialists.
• The device must not be used in vehicles or air-
planes. The sensitive electronic equipment in
vehicles/airplanes might be affected by the walkie-
talkie. In addition, such means of transport act as a
Faraday cage. The transmission signals are
screened off and the range of the device is reduced
significantly. The exposure to radiation inside the
vehicle is increased.
• Do not place the device within the range of an
airbag. When the airbag is inflated, the walkie-talkie
can be catapulted off and cause injuries.
• Never operate the device near sensitive devices as
used in hospitals. The walkie-talkie can cause inter-
ferences with such devices.
• Persons with pacemakers should not use the
device as it might affect the pacemaker.
• The walkie-talkie might impair the function of a
hearing aid used nearby. Consult a hearing aid
specialist or the manufacturer of your hearing aid to
find alternatives.
• Keep away the device from explosive surroundings
such as filling stations, storerooms for chemicals
