5.5.2.Replacing a lost or broken Somfy control point
To replace a lost or broken control point, contact a drive and home automation professional.
5.5.3.Obstacle detection
The automatic obstacle detection function protects the motorised product and enables obstacles to be cleared:
1] If the roller shutter apron comes up against an obstacle when moving down
then, depending on the position of the obstacle:
ð Either the roller shutter stops automatically.
ð Or it stops and is automatically raised.
2] If the roller shutter apron encounters an obstacle when moving upwards, the
roller shutter stops automatically.
5.5.4.Anti-freeze protection
The anti-freeze protection function operates in the same way as the obstacle detection function:
If the motorised product detects resistance, it stops automatically to protect the roller shutter apron: The roller shutter
remains in the initial position.
5.5.5.Protecting the battery against excessive discharge
5.5.5.1. Normal voltage
The drive works normally.
5.5.5.2. Behavior in case of low battery
When the Up, My or Down button is pressed, the drive controls the battery voltage;
if it is low (or the shutter is very heavy), the drive may reduce the speed to preserve
the battery life, but if the voltage is too low, refer to next point.
5.5.5.3. Behavior in case of insufficient battery
When the Up, My or Down button is pressed, the drive does not perform any
commands and instead performs a brief up and down movement.

Possible causes
The control point battery is low.
The battery level is low, or the battery is
discharged.
Solutions
Change control point battery as
required.
