5.5.5.4. Behavior in case of empty battery (less than 6.8 V for 9.6 V batteries and less
than 11.9 V for 16.8 V batteries)
When the Up, My or Down button is pressed, the drive no longer reacts.
NOTICE
Thanks to the solar panel, the battery voltage will rise until 9.6 V or 16.8 V depending on the used version, and the drive will
resume normal operation. However, there is an alternative solution to recharge the battery using NIMH BATTERY CHARGER
available in the Somfy catalogue.
CAUTION
• Any use of another battery charger is prohibited.
• Never leave the battery discharged
5.5.6.Energy saving
5.5.6.1. Smart comfort function
The smart comfort function enables energy saving moving automatically the motorised product according to the solar
exposure, measured through the solar panel itself.
The motor sends the information measured by the solar panel to the Tahoma. The end-user makes its scenario on this
device to trigger the automatism.
NOTICE
• Solar panel must be correctly installed. (cf Solar panel instructions)
• These feedbacks are only relevant with SOMFY solar panel.
5.5.6.2. Activation / Deactivation the radio
To save energy during transport or during storage, the radio is generally deactivated when the assemble of the motorised
product is finished.
1] Radio is deactivated only during the 4 first cycles if the solar panel detects no brightness for 36 hours.
2] Radio is activated as soon as the solar panel detects brightness.
