Normally set the AUTO TRACKING selec-
tor to ON.
The auto tracking control function works to get
the best possible picture automatically. When
the AUTO TRACKING selector is set to ON,
the indicator flashes for a while and lights
during playback.
« The AUTO TRACKING
indicator goes off
while the non-recorded portion of a tape is
played back.
¢ Noise lines will appear during auto tracking
adjustment. This is not a failure of the unit.
Depending on the tape quality, the picture may
become clearer by shifting the tracking manu-
ally from the point adjusted by the auto tracking
control.

To adjust the tracking manually, set the AUTO
TRACKING
selector to OFF/MANUAL
and
press the TRACKING
—/+ buttons on the
remote control unit to obtain the clearest pos-
sible picture.
The AUTO TRACKING indicator goes off when
the AUTO TRACKING selector is set to OFF/
MANUAL.
Set the PICTURE selector on the rear to SOFT
for a soft picture, or SHARP for a sharp pic-
ture. Normally, set the selector to NORMAL.

fait normal.
Selon la qualité de la bande, l'image peut
s'améliorer
en
ajustant
manuellement
lalignement,
a partir du point ajusté
par
lalignement automatique.
Pour ajuster l'alignement ala main, commuter
le sélecteur AUTO
TRACKING
sur OFF/
MANUAL et appuyer sur les touches TRACK-
ING ~/+ de la télécommande
pour obtenir
l'image la plus claire possible.
Le temoin AUTO TRACKING s'éteint quand le
sélecteur AUTO TRACKING est commuté sur
OFF/MANUAL.

e Elindicador AUTO TRACKING se apagara
durante lareproduccién de trozos sin grabar
de una cinta.
e Durante elajuste automatico de laalineacion
apareceran rayas. Esto no significa que la
unidad esté averiada.
Dependiendo de la calidad de la cinta, las
imagenes
podran
mejorarse
desplazando
manualmente
la alineacién desde
el punto
ajustado
por el control automatico
de la
alineacién.

Para ajustar manualmente la alineacién, ponga
el selector AUTO
TRACKING
en OFF/
MANUAL, y presione los botones TRACKING
~/+ dela unidad de control remoto hasta obtener
la mejor imagen posible.
Cuando ponga el selector AUTO TRACKING
en OFF/MANUAL,
el indicador
AUTO
TRACKING se apagara.
Commuter le sélecteur PICTURE, du panneau
arriére, sur SOFT pour adoucir l'image, ou sur
Ponga el selector PICTURE del panel poste-
rior en SOFT a fin de obtener una imagen
suave, o en SHARP a fin de que laimagen se
vuelva
mas
nitida.
Normalmente,
deje el
selector en NORMAL.
SHARP pourl'accentuer. Normalement, laisser
ce sélecteur commuté sur NORMAL.
