Attention!
Functional limitation due to distorted installation: The lock must be installed
free of torsion.
Functional limitation due to door handles not moving freely: The lock must be
fitted in such a way that the handle spindle and the spindle hub align.
Property damage due to forceful installation of the handle pin into the fol-
lower: The door handle spindle must be gently inserted into the spindle hub. No
tools are needed.
Property damage due to missing profile cylinder in locked door: The multi-
point lock 819 locks a closed door automatically and can then only be unlocked
again by a mounted locking cylinder. If a locking cylinder is not installed, the door
can only be opened by force. A construction locking cylinder must be installed
before the OneSystem Security Lock 809N / 819N is installed.
Property damage from construction key: The use of a so-called construction key
can destroy the lock. Then the function is no longer guaranteed. Only use a suit-
able locking cylinder for operation of the lock.

Intended use

The electric security lock 809N / 819N is suitable for installation in single-leaf
tubular frame or solid-leaf doors (backset 55 mm or greater) made of metal,
plastic or wood.
It is designed to provide door locking in security areas and is approved for use in
emergency exit door locks according to DIN EN 179 and panic door locks accord-
ing to DIN EN 1125.
· With two-leaf escape doors, the inactive leaf must also be designed as an escape
door and must be equipped with a passive leaf lock.
· If the inactive leaf is not designed as an escape door, the electric security lock
809N / 819N may only be installed in the two-leaf door when the inactive leaf can
be securely held in place with zero play and the active leaf runs against a stop
edge.
With double-leaf doors with rebated meeting stile and panic locks in each leaf,
the leaf must open when the panic door lock is actuated. Both leaves must open
freely if both panic door locks are actuated at the same time. This may require a
door coordinator to be installed.
