For double-leaf doors with rebated meeting stile and door closer, the correct
door closing sequence must be assured; otherwise the function of fire doors or
smoke protection doors, in particular, is not guaranteed. It may be necessary to
install a follower.
It is suitable for use on fire doors (smoke protection doors). All applicable
provisions for the approval of protective doors must be observed.
The electric security lock 809N / 819N is available in a special version without
escape door function. This special version is not permitted for use in escape doors
according to DIN EN 179 and panic doors according to DIN EN 1125. The special
version is equipped with a continuous handle follower (continuous square
spindle). The inner and outer door handles are always engaged or disengaged
simultaneously by an electrical trigger action.
Since the lock is equipped with a door contact, only suitable striking plates may
be used.
The electric security lock 809N / 819N may only be installed in properly functioning
door systems. All applicable regulations for the complete door system must be
observed.
The device is suitable for installation according to the installation instructions and
use according to the functional description.
The electric security lock 809N / 819N is suitable for installation in doors with a high
usage frequency, which entails little occasion for care and thus there is a possibil-
ity of accidents or misuse (such as office doors).
It is not intended for any other type of use.
