5.2. Time delay
The heat pump has a built-in 3-minute boot delay to protect circuits and avoid excessive switch
wear. The unit will restart automatically after this delay. Even a short power outage will trigger this
time delay and prevent the unit from restarting immediately. Additional power interruptions during
this delay period do not affect the 3-minute duration of the delay.
5.3. Condensation
The air drawn into the heat pump is heavily cooled by the heat pump's work to heat the pool water.
This can cause the condensate to form on the heat pump's cooling fins. The amount of condensa-
tion can be up to several litres per hour, if the relative humidity of the air is high. This condensate is
often mistakenly considered to be a water leak.
Note
The heat pump can generate several litres of condensate per hour. It is perfectly nor-
mal, and there is therefore no question of a leak.
5.4. Pressure gauge display (R32)
Look at the pressure gauge, this shows the coolant pressure in the heat pump. The following table
shows the normal pressure values for the coolant (R32) when the machine is switched off or when
it is in operation.

5.5. Use of the Heat Pump in the Coldest Months of the Year
Your heat pump's specified capacity is calculated for the season from April to October. This capac-
ity assumes that the pool is completely insulated, covered, protected against wind, and exposed to
sunlight.
Heat pumps for swimming pools extract thermal energy from the air and transfer this energy to the
pool water. Unlike an electric water heater, a heat pump depends on the presence of sufficient heat
in the air to maintain a constant level of warmth.
The efficiency of the heat pump decreases in colder months because there is less thermal energy
available in the surrounding air. This means the heat pump must work harder and longer to extract
the necessary heat, resulting in lower performance, especially when the daily temperature falls be-
low 6-8 °C.
