Furthermore, the natural heat loss of the pool water significantly increases at lower temperatures,
requiring additional heating to maintain the desired water temperature.
If you wish to use your heat pump for heating pool water in the coldest months, it may be that the
pump cannot maintain the desired water temperature. In such cases, it is recommended to supple-
ment with a thermostat-controlled electric water heater, which can provide extra heat independently
of the air temperature.
6. Initial startup
Important:
Check that the pool pump is circulating the water with an adequate water flow.
6.1. Initial startup of the heat pump
1. Checks to be performed before starting the heat pump
• The pool hose connections must be tight,
• The unit must be standing upright, be stable and be on a completely level surface.
• The power supply cable must not be exposed to sharp or hot objects
2. Additional checks must be performed by a qualified technician:
• The function of all safety components must be checked.
• Check that all metal elements are correctly earthed.
• The power connection and fitting of the electric power cable must be checked
Important:
Incorrect installation can cause overheating and will void the warranty.
